I think that having (small) children in your group is a thing that makes your survival very unsure. This because childeren tend to scream, and stuff like that. I think they don't get the situation that is happening. They may see it as one big game. Also I can't see myself running back to safe a young child. I think that they are slowing me and the group down. As much as I like children, this is about survival. And the fraze is 'survival of the fittest'. Maybe when they are older like above the 15 they can be usefull, but every age under that... Lose them. Does anyone else have an other idea about this, or am I just a cruel bitch?

14 and a minor not a child I also kids do help morale also fittest means most able to adapt and strongest, they had one hell of a time and consider the people who are injured who could recover soon and be useful, they will not make it
also the thing that separates us fromn the zombies is compassion and humanity if our goal is to survive no matter what we are zombies ourselves
I think 15 is a little high I think between 12-17 is a horrible idea just on the teenage rebellion side. But children around 11 are understanding the world around them. But having children around would give a bad sign if raiders ever saw you because they could be used as slaves, or food. They do use more food and are loud at times but they are always good for entertainment. Here is something else when we get old(hopefully) and have bad bones arthritis and so on, they would be the adults to take care of us. I'd want somebody I'd trained and taught to take care of me then just walk around with a group of other old farts.

I
I think in some situations, like further into the z-poc children may come on demand by particular communities like raiders and malicious militia groups to be used as slaves of child soldiers.

I also think like varying but some teens with in the age you specified to not go into would be handy dandy. Everyone matures at different rates, not everyone feels the need to be rebellious, and when it comes to killing zeds, those angry, rebellious, aggresive and violent ones might do some good.
your cruel which i admire. im 13 and if you lose me you die either me or from the hordes ill get to swarm you.... oops i didnt know you had raw meat on you...... bit for others i dont know im in a three man group just a roaming caravan helping... or killing any one infeccted
when it comes down to it its gonna be a kill or get killed situation you know as much as it would hurt its just something you have to do it would really suck but shit survival is a bitch at times and i can say i really agree with you now and its not cruel its just one of those things you have to do and i would try my hardest to help a kid but if he slows me down i have the choice of either goin down with him or to save my own ass and i think in that situation anyone would prefer to save themselves so respect the ladys opinion....
I agree with most of your statement. But many of the people who say they would leave the weak, young and old behind would do so for the safety of the group. I must agree, if I could save somebody, I would, and so would most other people. But if a member of your group was detrimental to the success of the entire group, I would have no choice but to cut them loose. If I knew I could save somebody, I would do so in an instant. But like you said, if it would do more harm, then I'm sorry, but goodbye.
I agree you help and save those that you can when you can, still wouldnt leave someone behind unless it was aboslutly necessasry
I agree with practically everything you said. Why bother living in a world where your two options are the hungering dead and the sociopaths claiming to still be alive? Why fight so hard just to die alone, with a wake of death behind you? If you are going to scrape out a "life" it has to include helping those who cannot help themselves. Survival of the fittest does not apply to this as far as I am concerned. This is not the Black Death caused by our ignorance in cleanliness. This is a predator that did not evolve side-by-side with us. This is an abomination to all life.

Personally I do not know what purpose I serve in existing. If that purpose is to watch others suffer when I could have at least tried to help them, than what sort of a man would I be? In the grand scheme of things each individual is only the impact they leave on the world. I want mine to be an unobjectionable positive when it comes time to close the book on my life. Will it get me killed? Probably. I am not looking to get killed and trade my place for someone else who might not do the same, but I am willing to take risks for the chance to feel human.
You know... i looked at this when it first came up... i was expecting to see more Humans on this site... guess i was wrong.

I now know where i will be during the Zombie appocolypse... defending all the children you guys decided to leave behind.
nice dude want some help?
Well I am human. But I will not risk my life or the one of the people in my group for children. I don't have the supplies to support the children. And I think that the risk is too high to take.
But you are very brave to defent them, and I wish you all the luck of the worls, and I don't mean that sarcastic. It's good that someone dares to risks there life to defend the weakest ones.
