What would benefit you more during the z-poc? Sneakers? Running shoes? Combat boots? Hiking shoes? Barefeet?

For me personally, I would choose running shoes. I don't have mountains or anything around me and boots would be a little too heavy in the event that I was being chased.

What are your guys thoughts?

Probably a good pair of running shoes. I have good bush waking skills so I dont think I need em.
I've worn a lot of boots to include GI Combat Boots, Danner, Jungle Boots, Red Head Merrell and a whole bunch of other brands over the years. The boots I've found to be most comfortable yet sturdy have been the Merrell. If I need to run, they are lightweight. If I'm climbing they are sturdy and have great tread. It means a lot when you get banged up a bit. Sore feet can get you killed.

I have converse tac. boots. They are very comfy, not even a pound, I don't think. I can run easily and very fast. They needed new insoles after about 6 months. YKK side zipper, leather, waterproof, soft toe and 200g insulation. They feel like tennis shoes. I would choose these for the zombie invasion.

can u check out my video its called: zombie preparation

I wore a pair of those for duty when I was still on patrol. I liked em alot and would buy another pair. I'd say 6 months of continuous wear and it's time for new boots. If you aren't in them all the time then 9 months should be okay but have another pair in the wings.

i had a pair of those, albeit tan with composite toe and zipper to the side, they were terrific to wear but with the composite they were also heavy

running shoes because i can still hack up zombies but what if some huge bulky guy shows up with this huge axe you have to run. right oh and check out my video with weapons as such that can be substitutes if you dont have guns the video is called zombie preparation (i dont have guns)

Im in agreement with Jericho Syndrome on this one. I own several pairs of tact style boots. They hold up well, their flexible enough to run in, and for the most part their really tough and hard to break.

Try these.

Timberland PRO Boots

Thoroughgood Stealth Side

Thoroughgood Omega---I own these boots, the fucking rock

A Man and his companion are walking through the woods on a trail when they see a large Bear.  The second man, startled, turns to run when he sees his companion drop to the ground and begin lacing his sneakers.  The second man says to the first "You can't outrun a BEAR" the first man replies, "I don't need to outrun the bear, I only need to outrun YOU!"

Swap zombies for Bears if you wish...

Thus Sneaker boots....lol. I want the extra ankle protection, warmth if the weather gets cold, and protections from things I may walk through or into. The thoroughgood omegas I listed are great to run in, I don't believe they slow me down one bit. I will admit the only time I run in them Im carrying a jump bag, or ruck. I feel confident that I can run fast enough to save myself in them. I may have to ditch my pack, and carry only the necessities.
