solar power suit
Hello every one saint .357 here with another strange idea. now we all know that after the z-poc finding power is going to be a bitch. with power grids most likely unmanned and non operation big ticket items will be lost. unless you have a generator which I'm sure most of us do. i know i got mine ready and waiting in the wings. even then finding fuel for it will be difficult and they make noise which with zombies crawling around is a very bad thing. now i think most of know that we'll also be on the move. no way your humping even the smallest of generators over rough terrain. still even if your taking with you what you can carry on your back its likely you'll have small things that will require power.
Radios,
walky talky's,
gps,
labtops,
night vision goggles,
holographic scopes for your rifles,
and many other small devices you will need or may want with you during the zpoc.
all these things will need to have their batteries recharged and how will you do it. well I've been toying around with the idea of incorporating some small flexible solar panel's into my clothing, like on the back of my tack vest, or maybe into this. my homemade Gorget/shoulder armor.
so what do you think of this idea for charging small battery power devices?

i agree so I'm gonna make the hat one, its a really good idea. but if i have any extra money afterwards i'm also gonna put some one my armor. now i just need to find out the best hat and mounting methods for the solar cells

not the small kind, 12 volts or so, shouldn't be more then say 20 bucks. i don't need to run a city here. just some small batteries.

well that's what the poison tipped dart launcher strapped to forearm right next to my hidden blade is for. I'm looking into getting puffer fish poison. it has the most powerful neurotoxin known to man. complete full body paralysis from only a few drops in only a few seconds. and the best part, even though their completely paralyzed they stay fully coherent and feel everything. it does nothing what so ever to numb the pain. which is perfect cause i want them to feel it when i place red hot coals on their eyes to watch the fluid in their eyes boil for trying to TAKE MY SHIT!

A normal baseball cap will do you fine. Its round so you can apply the foil panels all around it so that no matter where you turn your head, sun light will hit the panels.

Yeah, but you guys are talking about it like it's going to stop a bullet or a zombie bite or scratch, which it may, but other parts of your body will be exposed.

i never said stop a bullet i'm saying makes a good mounting place for solar panels so you can charge small battery powered things you may need. although yes this armor wills top zombie bites to the neck and shoulders. one of the top most bitten places. but of course this will go hand in hand with other armor pieces. forearm guards, bite proof gloves, and shin/ankle guards. neck, forearm, hand, shin, and ankles are the top five most bitten by zombies places on the human body.

i would use a Jungle hat/ bowling hat, more surface to place these Film solar cells.
Ps could you post where you get these cells from, i might order some myself, had a project like this myself, just with different clothing. And schematics once you have it done, i`m sure there are a few who would love to copy it.
Sidenote: the back is also a area thats always, in most cases directed at the sun for simple reason we dont like sun in our faces. So using film solar cells and fitting them along your back( in accordance to your muscle and body shape.
the back is also a spot that will unlikely be where the attack come from.
