Hello every one saint .357 here with another strange idea. now we all know that after the z-poc finding power is going to be a bitch. with power grids most likely unmanned and non operation big ticket items will be lost. unless you have a generator which I'm sure most of us do. i know i got mine ready and waiting in the wings. even then finding fuel for it will be difficult and they make noise which with zombies crawling around is a very bad thing. now i think most of know that we'll also be on the move. no way your humping even the smallest of generators over rough terrain. still even if your taking with you what you can carry on your back its likely you'll have small things that will require power.

Radios,

walky talky's,

gps,

labtops,

night vision goggles,

holographic scopes for your rifles,

and many other small devices you will need or may want with you during the zpoc.

all these things will need to have their batteries recharged and how will you do it. well I've been toying around with the idea of incorporating some small flexible solar panel's into my clothing, like on the back of my tack vest, or maybe into this. my homemade Gorget/shoulder armor.

so what do you think of this idea for charging small battery power devices?

maybe i'll try a couple of different hats and see which one is best. but i'll definitely keep the jungle hat in mind. as for where I'm gonna get them i haven't found the ones i want to use yet, but i would search amazon or something I'm sure they have some good ones. i was thinking the back too. i want to add a back plate to my armor maybe I'll mount some there. and if i do get this built you can bet your ass ill post a video of it. right now its in the concept phase.

Thought i`ll suggest this site for  hats and so forth.

Let me know when you figure out  a place to order cheap film solar cells/kits.

Check for me if they ship internationally.

the shoulder guard, its all metal right?

Where you get your metal from?

will do and yes the shoulder guard is all metal. its aluminum sheeting i got from homedepo. 10 bucks for a sheet the size of a small poster board. then i went ahead and cut out the parts with a pair of shears. if you go into any hardware store they should have aluminum sheeting.

also this place has cheap solar cells and kits, also they ship internationally. i just ordered some parts from them, but its taking forever, however their shipping prices are cheap.

Loving this site, any recommendations, how`s your electric knowledge?

Also are those examples film solar cells, cause i didn't see anything indicating they are?

(might just be me being tired)

yeah i'm not sure about that myself, they don't offer alot of info about them. also lets see my electric knowledge. four years vocation training, two certifications copper cabling and fiber optic.  some training in home automation. basic and advanced electrical work. yesh i think i know my stuff.
Use a cowboy hat. Hell you can make the brim and crown out of panels.
hmm maybe.

Get one of those chinese style farming hats and put mini solar panels on it, it's got a big area that can get sunlight.... or perhaps a sombrero

those do have a lot of space.

and plus for style, do  camo job on it and place your cells on it.

then add some camo clothing/painted cloth hanging down and a "ski-mask of some sort, you`ll look kick ass.

As far as for daily use.. heh but kickass loooking though.

@Iakolatestèris  any suggestions for a webstore to get one of those?

already looked into them just Google conical hat and I'm sure you'll find a site that sells them
Hm didn't find a cheap one, so i might just hammer one up by using metal sheets, if they have that in my "home depo" kinda stores here-
