According to all the literature out there zombies freeze solid in sub zero temps.  This does matter a lot to the time line(s) since they all end at the beginning of winter.  How do Campion zombies react to the cold?  If they freeze northern countries and states don't really have a problem any more.  Thoughts?

I looked around for an answer to that very question, so I shall bump this. I would not say "all" of the literature I have read goes with this, but enough of it that it is reasonable to assume the cold has some effect.
I would think cold, especially sub-zero temps would freeze them, I mean, it'll freeze US if we didn't have enough sense to get inside and stay warm... Zombies can't reason, they won't sense that they are freezing, won't try to seek shelter... They'll stay out and their bodies will eventually freeze solid... if for no other reason then they're too stupid to get outta the cold.
Will Campion infected persons that have the ability to run and jump, come back after freezing as shamblers when they thaw???
Well Campion zombies don't seem to have to ability to feel, so they would ignore the cold but I seriously doubt that anything that was just below zero ( keep in mind as a canadian I think in celcious) would effect them. Only if it got seriosuly cold
I'm willing to bet that runners would last longer, just because they are 'fresher' but would definitely freeze eventually. Especially once it starts to get down around -20C or more. Its not unusual for -30 in the winter in southern parts of Canada up around Edmonton and Winnipeg it drops to -50 with windchill and that is instant frostbite territory. Can you imagine what would happen to an unprotected person or zed in those temps?
the shammies are basically cold blooded...dead... so its natural that they would freeze, but runners seem to be more HOT blooded since they don't stop moving at all so i would think the northern territories have a half better chance in the winter if we can hope runners at least slow down.....
Northern countries are not entirely free of the problem. They just have a higher chance for survival.
I think they would freeze and rot awayas they defrost, campion zombies are viral so i asume need feeding so would starve after a long cold spell.
Northern towns, would have the advantage of colder weather and depending on terrain maybe mountains to limit Zombie/infected movement.
They'd freeze, but it would also preserve them, once they thawed, they'd be back up to shambling after you.
Runners, since they're technically still alive? (I'd have to go back an reread about them) it'd probably kill them, and once they thawed, become shamblers.

So while the zombies are all frozen, you might be okay for awhile, but be careful when the thaw hits..
they're zeds, not super-humans. if you would freeze solid, so would a zed. some seem to suggest since they don't actually "need" to feed, that the spring would just bring them out again as hungry as ever. One of the reasons that i think humid area's would recover faster. corpses decay really fast in the hot and moist conditions near the tropics.
yah but they would stay active the whole year round.... if they are frozen solid they are easy targets.
true enough. but cold weather living posses some of it's own unique and deadly challenges as well. From what I have on hand, along with my own personal experiences, I'm much better at handling the challenges of hot climates. Running to some place where the environment will kill you seems counterintuitive.
