Well Redneck does have somewhat of a negative slant to it. I don't mean to insult anybody. What I was getting at was the paranoia that runs rampant through some communities. Unfortunately alot of them tend to be uneducated, uncooth, toothless, running around the woods kind of people that make you think of the Hatfields and McCoys.

The Hatfields and McCoys were Hillbillies. There is a difference. But then I wouldn't expect a slicker to know that. ;)

Being from a region in the Appalachian Mountains, I guess I would qualify as a "Hillbilly." I do take extreme offense to people not from here generalizing and stereotyping the ones that are. I have a college degree in History, I have all of my teeth, and I've actually been outside of the country before!!! I do enjoy running around in the woods, though...

I don't think so, I'm not slick enough, I'm a working class shlub like everybody else. No silk ties or Italian suits for me. The whole redneck thing was the attitude. Paranoid, and the whole government is evil thing. One guys site actually said that you should completely avoid and government agency at all costs. I get the feeling that alot of these guys are convinced that the government and everybody around them is out to get them or at the very least screw them over in an attempt to better themselves.

I explained what a Redneck is. I guess you didn't read that. Distrusting the government has nothing to do with being a Redneck. People who distrust the government tend to be Conspiracy Theorists or maybe they have an inside track. They can be any subculture.
