Much of surviving a Zpoc is about survival period. There is a good show on survival and firearms and self defense that as far as I'm concerned is MUST SEE TV

Best Defense Survival    on The Outdoor Channel Wednesdays. Check it out. There is a lot of information to help you SURVIVE.

Survivorman is another good choice, more on wilderness survival, but he shows you how to survive in about any climate and region. He also tells you how to identify food, make a decent camp with limited supply, etc. And its pretty entertaining.
Yeah, I think I saw one of his shows where he almost died. Is this the same guy who was drinking his own piss?
No, I think that was Bear Grylls on Man vs. Wild. Survivorman is IMHO ten times better of a show. Les Stroud is the survivorman host. When he does his "surviving" he is the only one out there. He does his own filming, which is pretty sweet. Of course he has the option to call his pickup before the week is up, but I've only seen it happen once or twice.
Not too keen on Bear Grylls at all, nearly all of his things are set up/staged. All fine and dandy for a show but in terms of learning survival skills/bushcraft etc there are lots of better shows.

Youtube also has lots of great channels showing bushcraft
Yeah, Bear Grylls is a bit of a joke. I saw a video of him in Hawaii, acting like he was walking through a dangerous volcanic zone, only to be debunked by a local hiker who showed that this trail was a mere 200 yards from a highway, and a common hiking spot. I've also heard that he has stayed overnight in local hotels when supposedly "surviving". I much prefer Survivorman and Les Stroud.
Totally agree! 98% of what Grylls does will get someone killed in a real situation. I call that show, "I See You've Managed to Take Your Shirt Off Again."
i only saw one episode of survivorman and he was doing a special on urban disasters...my kinda playground
Anything with Ray Mears is pretty sweet
Ray is the man!
I like the fact that they pan the cameras back and show how the crew have quite elaborate camps set up while Ray is building his basic shelter, they are also honest when they send the crew home and continue on with just a hand held camera and a sound guy. I get the feeling Ray would do this stuff whether he got paid or not, he has a true passion for the outdoors and bush craft.
OK, I'm a fan, I have all his videos :P
There was this one called Apocalypse man done by Rudy Reyes. Youtube it and see. Its all staged, but there is some useful survival tips.
Reyes has some good tips. The only thing is I would stay away from a city in a Zpoc. Otherwise I like his tips.
