surviving Z day, will it really be an Apocalypse? or just a set back?
I was thinking about this the other day, and well, maybe I can get a little feedback.
Most, “Zombies movies”, take place in a world where it seems to me, that well they didn’t have any prior thoughts about the undead (as if they’ve never seen a zombie flick). But in reality we have had 40+ years of movies about them, and have a pretty good idea of what to do. It seems in most of these movies, people are like, “we don’t know how to stop them,” and you see the barricades get overturned as people shoot at the chest of these creatures, until someone eventually figures out that just plain destroying the brain stops them (but it’s typically too late). Everyone’s like, ooooh…
I wonder how the zombies would do in a world more similar to our own reality, in that people kind of have the 101 already. Of course there would be probably 75% casualties still; because of people being caught off guard, but I’m sure 70% or so of people know you shoot a zombie in the head.
I personally believe that about 20-25% (worst case scenario 10%) of the population would still survive “Z day.”
What’s your guys thoughts?

I think it being in movies would make the fear and stupidity worse because you have those people who think they do know how to deal with the situation and then the people that freak out that the zombie outbreak is really going down. So I think denial and Rambo wannabes will be the lethal stab wound in the Zombie War.
All it takes is for one card to be removed wrong to bring down a card castle

I want the 28 days zombies, weeds out the weak and I always love a challenge, also you need teamwork to survive them kinda like Left 4 Dead

dude i sorry u chew your ass but what the hell.little wake up call.i get the hole get rid of the weak and a challenge but for real when zombies attack.it fucking wont be a game like left 4 dead.(i am fan love the game)but realy like ur doing to have health packs,pistol with unlimated amo,and the hole last stand thing.u get bit ur fucked.and there are no revies ether.

Well even with the proper "knowledge" I think it would be a little daunting shooting down people you knew. That and the fact that head shots aren't as easy as everyone makes it seem. Cops/Soldiers are trained to shoot center mass. Plus people panic. Panic = SHTF

You have to put into your thinking, most of the world is unarmed. Roughly 40% of America owns guns. UK and Australia just had a massive smackdown on the right to own guns. Around the world many countries seriously restrict gun ownership for civis. That and in some places people just plain can't afford to buy one.

well down where i live(i live in the south...AKA bunches of red necks with guns and stuff like that) people down here seem to shoot,ask questions later.so most people down in the south would probly live
