As title describes, how would you go about bringing the zeds out to kill while keeping your self safe?

For example:

I would set up in a defensible position and blast Reveil once ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCs6PDsYAB8&feature=related )  to draw them out of hiding while laying into them with traps, bombs and gun fire.  sure the fight might escalate into a hold out against a horde of zeeks but as long supply holds the bodies will only mount.

now, How would you perform your clean up?

Depends on numbers. If it's an infestation, I'd move on and let time do it's work. If smaller numbers, a house by house sweep, securing each place after cleansing.
maybe cause I just checked my garage and I don't have a remote controlled D9 in there :P
someone has been reading my book
First that comes to mind a steam roller. But those are slow and you could get pulled right off. So lets jump straight to the opposite end of the spectrum and say an Abrhams tank. It comes stock with extra fuel, It's fully armored( and i think against eve runners your safer than on a steam roller) and you don't even have to fire a round as long as you keep moving and don't stop. Just run the Mother F*****'s over. ANd when you start to get low leave enough for a mad dash to the nearest air force base or airport to refuel.
lolololololololololololol really...kilroy... you got that from day by day armegeddon beyond exile great book and surprising auther but there was no reason to make a poor imitation of the picture just use the in the book your not going to get arested by the copy police or anything lol     i friend you k?  :)
oh wait im sorry it not imitation im sorry i can't see verywell i have 60 40 vision and chronic opticle disease :(
im sorry i didn't mean to come off really mean i love the picture don't hate me k?
I'm not sure you understand that by burning whole cities you will lose
all kinds of supplies. I know that once things "calm down" and the zed's
numbers start to decrease, I'll be looting the cities for things from
food to computers to scrap metal to weapons. I guess I'll just avoid whatever city you decide to set ablaze.
I will never rely on looting to sustain myself, I have survival skills for that (ie hunting, fishing, farming), only to find what ever I might find useful. If you look back I stated things like scrap metal and weapons, not food. But I believe if you avoid areas that were once densely populated, zeds won't be an issue you will have trouble dealing with when growing food. I know that for the place I plan to finally settle on, there will be plenty of space to grow food within the safety of my facility, then as I feel safer, I will move outside of the facility. So again, you burn down your city, but don't look forward to my friendly face out there.

Depends on the area... is it a large metropolitan area (Chicago, NYC, LA), Suburbs, Downtown, Industrial park, Rural town, buildings spread apart, close together... each of these locales can bring up different methods and challenge.

What equipment do you have, explosives? firearms? a serviceable vehicle with fuel? What about your support network, a small group, anybody skilled (engineers, comes to mind), what about your skills? (I'm a nurse, anybody need a Foley changed, I'm your man, operating anything bigger than a semi-automatic rifle, not so much) Size of the infestation you're dealing with.

It's not as easy as just luring them out and being Leonidas from 300 or Rambo and re-murdering em all to re-death.  (I personally need to do alot more situps before I can be either one of those guys)

Alright, I can play impossible to. Here I am in my confiscated "street sweeper" filled to the gills with hydrochloric acid. Which I drive all over town dousing zeds, melting their heads and, anyone else stupid enough to get in my way. I also carry a .22 snubnose 2 shot, just in case!

If you could lure them out to an open are, like a field or a park, I fire up my 100 hp + tractor with loader and go to town on the Zed's with my discbine. It packs many spinning steel blades at knee height. Take the shields off and its a navigable and available death machine for the un-dead.
