Awesome wound buddy...
For me... maybe a cane knife or a actual folded steel katana. for blunts, maybe a ball peen hammer
yeah but unless you go to japan and special order a real katana from an actual master sward maker your gonna most likely get a cheap piece of crap. i suggest if you want a good sword go for ninja weapons like a Ninjatō. the ninjas take on a katana, its a strait sword that smaller then both the katana and it's sheath which allows for a quicker draw. the reason i say this is because ninja weapons all started out as peasant tools. so they are easy to make and you have a better chance of one of them being battle ready then any katana. if you jsut have to have a real katana get a world war two one. it was the last time katan's were ever actually pass produced from battle. there not the thousand year old ones so they will be cheaper about 2 to 3 bills a peace. but they are realy forged fro battle. still katana's take a life time to master. ninja tools take a lot less.

Cold Steel makes some good katanas, They run about 200- around $1000 for one. My neighbor used to have one until he sold it. Just thought I'd say that.

if you wanna find real katanas you just have to know what to look for because its going to state what kind of metal it is and you can also tell the difference generally when looking at folded steel or just forged steel
I found this a while back thought it might shed some light on on the subject here.http://youtu.be/yPzLo2S8nNs

what is the length of the ball peen hammer? i have never heard of it

same a s a regular hammer it jsut has a large steal ball on one side instead of a claw.
coolio, I got a few of them

I don't know about the fake katanas. Most commercial katanas have one hard back and an even harder edge, which makes up the blade. In most authentic Japanese katanas there is a soft core, a hard outer spine and sides, and then an even harder edge. This soft core allows the blade to flex and bend so as not to break under stress. A commercial katana would not fare as well.

This is how a real katana is made.

This is a fake one.
