the best melee weapon to use when Z day comes

all right, everybody knows their melee of choice, but what one is truly the best, and when i say best, i mean what  melee weapon is usefull in more than way?

Actually, i would say any melee weapon is as good as the next if you can use it efficiantly.

So my answer becomes, whatever you can use well... Any idiot can swing a sword, but a true Master simply moves his arm.

I suppose some garden tools and things you may find in a garage unfortanitly may best weapon as of this moment is a butchers knife and golfclub.

You have to consider anything sharp ie an axe will get stuck in the skull, anything heavy like a sledge hammer will take you off balance, knives mean you will be too close.

I think the overall best would be a pick axe handle. Made from a hardwood such as hickory they are designed to withstand massive punishment, they are light so wont take you off balance but heavy enough to crush a skull. They wont get stuck in a skull and are long enough to keep out of biting distance.
