We've been into this one in a couple threads. I believe the spread would happen so quickly that first responders would be overwhelmed. Police, fire and EMS would have to smart up quick at what they are dealing with or end up joining the ranks.

I agree, It wouldn't be good to lose our key players such doctors,paramedics,and police officers.
Find out who is in charge, or take charge and form vigilante groups. Urge civilians to bear arms and join in to defend their town, their homes, their people, etc.
Order jobs, whether it is securing an area, forming a barricade around your boarders, or giving medical attention to those who need it. Obviously a million and one things will go wrong, but it is your job to make sure you fix it. We would stand a better chance together, for a common cause, for survival. Rather than people going Rambo, save it until all hope is lost as a last ditch plan.

the rot would be a dead giveaway and the government would probably try to set up survivor camps and bomb zombie cities and dead zones

That event would start the spreading from the streets, police department and the small town... to the neighboring town...
Soon, ... a nation, a continent and the rest of the world....

id say for the first lil bit of it people wouldnt realise what is going on although if your smart youll wisen up rather quickly and honestly though i dont think many of the "zombie experts" would realise what they were either till its to late or for a while
