Sitrep, head count, ammo count.

I'd probably get bit because I broke my own oath and tried to help someone out.

Run dammit, Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Best case scenario I'm at home and can grab my bug out bag and weapons and head for our rendezvous in the corporate center which is equal distance from all of the merry band of prepared.

whats your worst case scenario

Probably panic, try to get a hold of myself, and just get all the food I can get and weapons, and antything that can be used to survive, destroy the staircase and stay up in the room upstairs for awhile
Also I'll try to avoid going into town, probably be infested

It really depends the situation and location where I'd notice it. If I was in city, for example, I'd try to get all stuff I need immediatly - food, weapons, sleeping bag and try to find (and maybe rescue) my family!

If I was at home, I'd first try to get news of my family - and give examples what they'd have to do the next 12 hrs. Or maybe take them with me...

I would do all I can to get on the attic of my house. There's a little hatch with retractable ladder, so no-dead-body (or other weird walkers) could get up if they don't have the thing to open it anyway. I'd wait what happens...

Besides telling myself (in my head), I told so you repeatedly...Gather what I already haven't prepared, after 10 minutes or less head to the pre-located point/rendezvous point.

When there we will bunker down with the others until we have to move out west...to our secondary and/or third location.

If I'm at home, I'd be fine, I'd send a transmission to my group and we'd be good, if at work I'd send the message, but I'd also get a weapon and fight my way to my home ( I live VERY close)

"Ma lock the doors, close the shutters, and break out the oil lamps! Grab a rifle and call up the boys!"

true story

if at home, I'd call some people, get my guns, go to the car and go out for supplies and get my gun buddies together.

if at work I'd call it a day. the end has come, who cares about cost estimate reports and CAD drawings anymore? not like any of it would be of any use to our client (the Navy).

I'd go to my car, get my gun out, call some people, and hit stores along the way for supplies, help my gun buddies, regroup at my place.

if at the range.. the private range out in the middle of nowhere... sit tight. No one can make it up the road without a serious 4x4, we're deep in the mountains away from the city (30 minute's drive) and there's lots of people with guns, large amounts of ammo, and a certified NRA instructor on hand. I trust with a half dozen training-for-expert marksmen and me can get though this safely without getting eaten.

if at the desert range... raid the Walmart in town and retreat back to the wilderness. take the long road home.
