Permalink Reply by James McDonald on September 14, 2011 at 9:23pm Thanks Prime, I actually did some diggin online after my post on found this.
They sell them stock, or bobbed. I like the bobbed look, its a little easier to turn than the longer 6x6 too. I think I would just buy a deuce myself though, and do all my own cutting on it.

Permalink Reply by James McDonald on September 15, 2011 at 11:43pm Yea I really like the bobbed deuces. Super cool truck.
I haven't added anything to my aresnal, but i have redefined some stuff.
cut down my Mosin 91/30, because i felt lesser than people who bring their AR15's to the range, their guns despite being in a little caliber is louder than mine! I know it stupid, but i decided I wanted a fire-breathing mosin that I've heard so much about. the lack of affordable and reasonable priced M44s lead me to cut down my 91/30. ($450 for a M44 is not reasonable!)
my 91/30 now sports a 18.75" barrel, and is similar to a M38 carbine. Its shorter than a real M38, so I call it the Short 38. Still gotta put the front sight back on but for now i can do with a red dot scope on the rear sight rail. Its one deadly, powerful, impressively loud, and very maneuverable Mosin! I love how much more maneuverable it is!
I have also stepped up the loading of my .500 S&W Mag ammo, if you think a 308 is powerful, think again. I've established a nice hot load for generally overkill and making a mess on anyone or anything. chronoed several 335 grain bullets at 2245 fps, gives me about 3700 ft-lb of energy. it doesn't feel too bad to shoot, and generally it makes a mess of anything downrange.
But unlike your 308, it doesn't have the power to reach out & touch someone. velocity & energy drops very fast at beyond 100 yards.
it would absolutely ruin your day if you got hit by one of my .50 cal slugs. if you have no armor, you'd probably be in pieces. if you have armor on (lots of armor) you'll survive but you'll have a few broken ribs and and find yourself on the dirt.
I'm hoping to find some better bullets, like round nose or spitzer ball, 50 bmg bullets do not work, they're just a bit too wide. with spitzer ball the range goes to 200 yards, and no amount of armor will save you. its just that .500 S&W mag was intended for handgun hunting, not for rifle, and people don't use spitzer fmj bullets for hunting.
