Just added a SCAR 17 to my furious arsenal. I'm pretty happy with it. Down range power to punch through just about anybody... And some lovely 7.62/51mm AP rnds for the asshole wearing armor.
Puts me with 2 colt m4s, 1 barret rec 7 5.56mm, twin XD .45, the new SCAR 17 (H), and the about to be assembled LWRC PSD 8in 5.56mm. Plus lots of other dangerous things.. gotta love demo!
Who else had some fun new tools for some zombie murder?

Currently sitting on around 3000 rnds per weapon. And enough food and stored water for about 2 yrs. And the monstrous M35a2 to carry us all with.
Nice. I just added 3 stripped lowers to help arm others. :-D
Nice setup. Id love to see some pics of M35a2, those are getting really hard to come by. The ones that are still around at least here in the south are in disrepair. I would love to come accoss one though thats in great shape. It would make hauling supplies to the compound alot easier. Its hard tugging acouple thousand pounds of fencing, poles, and welding supplies up the slopes up north. I had been borrowing a buddy's f450 and it just doesn't have the weight to carry the loads, and pulling a trailer up the current road would be impossible.
Check out the linky for .gov surplus including vehicles. If there aren't any near you there are some close by.

Thanks Prime, I actually did some diggin online after my post on found this.

100dollarman

They sell them stock, or bobbed. I like the bobbed look, its a little easier to turn than the longer 6x6 too. I think I would just buy a deuce myself though, and do all my own cutting on it.

I like that bobbed look.

Yea its really sweet. Theres a video of them building one on xtreme 4x4 on powerblock tv on spike. Freaking awesome  build, gave me a lot of ideas for what I would like to do to mine.

xtreme 4x4 deuce

Cool Video..

Yea I really like the bobbed deuces. Super cool truck.

any chance they could be Cali legal?? I'd love to get one, despite all the nasty looks i'll probably get some all the stuck up jerks in their Prius(s) & Insights. a gas guzzler for sure.

I haven't added anything to my aresnal, but i have redefined some stuff.

cut down my Mosin 91/30, because i felt lesser than people who bring their AR15's to the range, their guns despite being in a little caliber is louder than mine! I know it stupid, but i decided I wanted a fire-breathing mosin that I've heard so much about. the lack of affordable and reasonable priced M44s lead me to cut down my 91/30. ($450 for a M44 is not reasonable!)

my 91/30 now sports a 18.75" barrel, and is similar to a M38 carbine. Its shorter than a real M38, so I call it the Short 38. Still gotta put the front sight back on but for now i can do with a red dot scope on the rear sight rail. Its one deadly, powerful, impressively loud, and very maneuverable Mosin! I love how much more maneuverable it is!

I have also stepped up the loading of my .500 S&W Mag ammo, if you think a 308 is powerful, think again. I've established a nice hot load for generally overkill and making a mess on anyone or anything. chronoed several 335 grain bullets at 2245 fps, gives me about 3700 ft-lb of energy. it doesn't feel too bad to shoot, and generally it makes a mess of anything downrange.

But unlike your 308, it doesn't have the power to reach out & touch someone. velocity & energy drops very fast at beyond 100 yards.

it would absolutely ruin your day if you got hit by one of my .50 cal slugs. if you have no armor, you'd probably be in pieces. if you have armor on (lots of armor) you'll survive but you'll have a few broken ribs and and find yourself on the dirt.

I'm hoping to find some better bullets, like round nose or spitzer ball, 50 bmg bullets do not work, they're just a bit too wide. with spitzer ball the range goes to 200 yards, and no amount of armor will save you. its just that .500 S&W mag was intended for handgun hunting, not for rifle, and people don't use spitzer fmj bullets for hunting.

I don't normally use these words in the context that I am right now....but thats a tad overkill. I mean if your like me and are building a sealable compound to keep you safe during a apocalpse its fine, if your traveling though its going to be rather heavy and cumbersome  to carry very many rounds in S&W500, and .50 calible slugs.
