i have written two short stories and am super indecisive. can i enter both of them? i really really want to participate in this and be able to contribute to the website. I just want to make sure i wouldnt get disqualified or something.

Go ahead and submit both. No DQs for extra effort. ;)
I was wondering if we could post part of a story, as in, part of a series of, i.e., a journal entry or two, or something like that, especially if it were to be continued...
Contest rules are always really lenient. As long as it fits within the basic guidelines, and hasnt been used in a previous contest, it'll work. New material if at all possible though.
Okay, thanks

Valentine's Day it used to be a day of love and joy now it was just another Thursday of survival. Sitting here among a small group of friends which I joined a couple days ago. I only learnt their names and what they were good at nothing more. The group decided to have a little celebration for surviving as far as the day of love. It seemed silly to me but it was nice to eat a little more then usual. I was eating my food while keeping watch over the camp.

I see one of the younger men coming towards me with a smile and a small box in his hand. He joined me up on the truck watching over the camp and handed me the box. He was a mute but gestured for me to open it. I was never able to because a biter grabbed me and dragged me into a horde of them as the mute watched in horror as I screamed. The biters tore at my arms and legs as I threw them in front of me for protection. It hurt so much I wanted someone to kill me to end the pain. Over the noises of eating and snarling biters I barely heard the group running to help me and kill the biters as the creatures bite and tore into my flesh.

When the creatures were dead I was bleeding and screaming in the pain from the bites. I got to my feet now only crying in pain and looked at the group as they gazed at me. The mute man looked at me still in horror but approached me and grabbed the box he had given to me. His eyes were now gentle and sorrowful, he was blaming himself for the attack for distracting me but I couldn't blame him it could've happened to anyone.

The group tried to tell him not to get near me but he ignored them and opened the box revealing a locket. It wasn't just any locket it was the locket that my grandmother heir loomed to me after her death and before everything went to hell. I had let my grandfather keep it until he was ready to give it to me. How this man had it I had no clue but he put it around my neck and gently kissed my forehead. No one saw how close we were to the cliff or that he was slowly leaning me towards it until our feet left the ground.

The air whizzed past us as we fell, I have no idea why he choice to join me in death and not just push me over the edge but I could only think of that I saved him from a horde earlier that week and he didn't want to be alone. I closed my eyes and saw my girlfriend and her baby in France as I accepted my death and wondered if she had survived the outbreak or if I would see them in the next life. A sickening crack and pain before everything went numb, I always heard the that sudden stop hurt not the fall true or not I didn't care I had someone with me that wasn't letting me die alone...

Keep them coming! Awesome so far. :)

18 hours is plenty of time to get in a few videos! Submit! Let's go!

Happy Valentine's day. :)
