it would be a far walk thats y u take any cars you can get and think of it this way gas is free if the only one to give the money to is a brain hungry zombie.

thats a great idea but it needs a secret 2nd way out that way if any zombies came in we could have a few people sneak out and flank them.

Mickey, what you need is a disaster plan with family and friends. Your plan does not have to be based on a Zombie outbreak. It can be based on Tornadoes, Flu Epidemic, flooding, terrorist attack or any disaster. You have a general plan and then you base what you do off of what actually happens. There are things that will always be needed in most any disaster. Food, water, shelter, communication, protection and transportation are a few things to think about.

Well you're hoping to be able to move around while this is going on. Travel is not going to be easy. Going to the next town could take days.

A disaster plan does not need to be too specific unless you have a job in which you have responsibilities to deal with. Say at a nuclear power plant. Plans need to be flexible. A base plan in place can be built upon or streamlined according to your needs.

i changed my mind since we are the ones who would survive a zombie attack we need a middle state so we can all get there.

Ok at first I liked the idea then I was reading about location and thinking about more realistic situations. I would say that we all survival the first wave of issues and see what we have that is still available. I mean with something like this you never know what will up or down. For instance I don't live far from air force base and a nuke launch site. But whos to say that I'm not on a nuke list with russia or korea. I think planing something like that is just not going to work but it would great after a zday attack and we are organized. so then we know what place is safe and where we might be able to go. Also what route we can take aswell. Mybe pick up people along the way or know what places we can't travel.

To summon things up great idea at first but too many varibles to plan that far ahead. Just stay local get a group together there and then see what happens.

i like it but we cant stay for long we would have to some way get comunication to the other survivers and asemble some place safe to plan for the future and how we will survive the never ending onslaught.

I totally agree with Firefox. It will be very difficult to survive let alone travel during a Zpoc. You've got to look at the small picture before you can look at the big one. You've got to survive. Surviving isn't about meeting friends it's about not dying. In a Zpoc your best friend could be your worst enemy before the fall. There is no guarantee that some of the people you want to meet up with will even make it. You deal with things locally. You get to a safer area. You keep moving if necessary. A moving target is harder to hit. If your area is not secure you leave. Even the most secure bases are going to be breached until people can get a handle on what is actually going on.
