weapon of choice
well i was reading some of the weapons people would like to use and mostly everyone says the machete. what kind weapon would you use? mines the naginata.

I personally would never use a machete. If you use it on a skull the only thing that will happen is it will get stuck in the head. If you try to use one to cut the head off a zombie, you will ahve to be dangerously close, and even then you will only have resulted in making a zombie bowling ball that is rolling around still snapping and trying to bite you.

what kind of machete are you talking about? a standard, straight edged one, those arent very useful for zombie killing. a kuhkri version would be very nice to use against zombies, because it is heavier and very durable, and the weight makes it easier to swing with, i would reccomend a 10 to 12 inch one, more reach and the larger ones usually come in black coating and have hand buards. i actually saw one with knuckle handguards.

First, naginata is ancient japanese weapon, not chinese. As for me if its up to melee id say my high carbon steel nihonto and some higher caliber handguns for blasting.

If I was up close and didn't have a firearm I would want a nice heavy bladed Bowie knife. A Bowie Knife with a knuckle guard would be nice.

Crowbar. Good rounded head for hitting it, and then if it is close call, i would have a pointed end for eye stabbing. for a forearm, I would use a Dan Wesson Model 15 revolver. Many different parts you get in the kit for a low amount of money.

Good choice on the crowbar. It's in just about everyone's garage and they come in varying sizes so finding one that you can easily wield wouldn't be hard.

A Falcata acient greek sword is built for chopping off limbs, or beheading. And even if you do cut off the head it can't do much but snap its jaws, and you could just punt it away from you. (:
