So your running from a horde of zombies, you come across an abandoned military building. You get in but soon realize the place is not abandoned, you need to get out of there! There's a small table in front of you arranged with almost every type of semi-automatic handgun in the world. You don't have any where to put the guns so you can only take one or two.So which gun do you grab to get out of there?

Me? I'd go for a Socom SOCOM Pistol Mk 23 Mod 0 .45 ACP. Why? Well because it's compact, comes standard with a laser and silencer, has an extended clip, and in my opinion .45 ACP is one of the best rounds it's big,has decent peircing power and does'nt have to much kickback.

As appealing as the desert eagle is, I would prefure the quietest hand gun I could find or a 12 gauge shotty should the hoard get up close and personal...
I'd go for one .50-caliber Desert Eagle, a .45-caliber M11911 pistol, and an M9 Beretta. That way, ammunition-wise, I've got all my corners covered, and if I lose one pistol, I've got two more ready.
Leave the .50 AE Desert Eagle tied to the boat.
.22 cal rimfire it will penetrate skulls ammo is easy to come by more ammo per mag, low recoil quietergreat weapon for escape
If that's all you have then you work with what you've got.

i would probably go for one glock 17 or 19 for the light weight and higher capacity...

and stuff my pockets with 17rd mags and even a few 33rd hicap mags...

i dunno...

have to go back recheck the specs on some other pistols...
Two Taurus 1911 with Night Talon rounds.

very much so.
All these "dual this" and "double that" gave me a good giggle.

"I'd drop it and pull out the other one. I'm a BOSS!"

Where you gonna carry that one, champ? Gotta be somewhere you can get a quick draw. Oh, and where the holster of your first pistol won't interfere with the draw. And you still have to free the hold on the holster, whatever that may be, rack the slide, release the "safety" (or, make sure you didn't accidentally engage the de-cock lever, if you carry it like I do), reacquire target, and continue. I really doubt that with all that it would be much faster to pull a second weapon than it would to simply reload. Additionally with the space and weight you save, you can carry more ammo.

My preferred handgun would probably be the FN Five seveN. A light pistol chambered for 5.7mm, a specially designed caliber used to penetrate body armor. Find a choke point, line 'em up straight, and pow. The downside is that the ammo for it is not exactly easy to find. But it does match with my preferred mid-long range weapon the FN P90. Can't beat a 50 round magazine, as long as you got the updated one that doesn't jam every three rounds.
precisely why i only chose one pistol...

dual is cumbersome and very hollywood...
i stopped reading after reading the origional posters idea... this site is plagued with video game hollywood rambos.....
kimber's colt 1911 chambered in .22mag, carry tons of rounds, both on you and in the mag. headshot is a headshot and when i can carry 50 rounds to your 7, i can go ahead and double tap.
