So your running from a horde of zombies, you come across an abandoned military building. You get in but soon realize the place is not abandoned, you need to get out of there! There's a small table in front of you arranged with almost every type of semi-automatic handgun in the world. You don't have any where to put the guns so you can only take one or two.So which gun do you grab to get out of there?
Me? I'd go for a Socom SOCOM Pistol Mk 23 Mod 0 .45 ACP. Why? Well because it's compact, comes standard with a laser and silencer, has an extended clip, and in my opinion .45 ACP is one of the best rounds it's big,has decent peircing power and does'nt have to much kickback.
oh. Where's that at? We use .45 ACP Glocks on my department. Patrol Officers carry the Glock 21. We carry the Glock 30 in C.I. Most of our county uses .45 ACP of one type or another. The Pennsylvania State Police was using .45 ACP but have decided to switch to the .45 GAP. I assume because there is less recoil and the round is smaller so the grip isn't as big for those with smaller hands. The Glock 21 can carry 13 +1 in the pipe. the Glock 30 is less, 10 +1. Still decent amounts of ammo in a proven round.
I've fired the Beretta Cougar and really like the ergonomics of the grip. I guess I just prefer the Glock because I've used them for 16 years. Any semi auto in the hands of someone who knows how to use it is an awesome protection gun and close range Zombie eradicator.
Personally I'd go for the 240 with a couple battle packs but since it can only be handgun I'd go after something like a makarov. 9mm kurz is a fiesty little round and plenty for zombie eradication. Plus you can carry A LOT of extra ammo...
Depending on the area maybe even an M9... they tend to jam when there's sand or grit around though...
definately some kind of .22 rimfire weapon. it's quiet, accurate, and it's not powerful enough to go completely through a skull, so the bullet just ricochets around inside the skull and makes brain soup.
As appealing as the desert eagle is, I would prefure the quietest hand gun I could find or a 12 gauge shotty should the hoard get up close and personal...
I'd go for one .50-caliber Desert Eagle, a .45-caliber M11911 pistol, and an M9 Beretta. That way, ammunition-wise, I've got all my corners covered, and if I lose one pistol, I've got two more ready.
