So your running from a horde of zombies, you come across an abandoned military building. You get in but soon realize the place is not abandoned, you need to get out of there! There's a small table in front of you arranged with almost every type of semi-automatic handgun in the world. You don't have any where to put the guns so you can only take one or two.So which gun do you grab to get out of there?
Me? I'd go for a Socom SOCOM Pistol Mk 23 Mod 0 .45 ACP. Why? Well because it's compact, comes standard with a laser and silencer, has an extended clip, and in my opinion .45 ACP is one of the best rounds it's big,has decent peircing power and does'nt have to much kickback.
All these "dual this" and "double that" gave me a good giggle.
"I'd drop it and pull out the other one. I'm a BOSS!"
Where you gonna carry that one, champ? Gotta be somewhere you can get a quick draw. Oh, and where the holster of your first pistol won't interfere with the draw. And you still have to free the hold on the holster, whatever that may be, rack the slide, release the "safety" (or, make sure you didn't accidentally engage the de-cock lever, if you carry it like I do), reacquire target, and continue. I really doubt that with all that it would be much faster to pull a second weapon than it would to simply reload. Additionally with the space and weight you save, you can carry more ammo.
My preferred handgun would probably be the FN Five seveN. A light pistol chambered for 5.7mm, a specially designed caliber used to penetrate body armor. Find a choke point, line 'em up straight, and pow. The downside is that the ammo for it is not exactly easy to find. But it does match with my preferred mid-long range weapon the FN P90. Can't beat a 50 round magazine, as long as you got the updated one that doesn't jam every three rounds.
kimber's colt 1911 chambered in .22mag, carry tons of rounds, both on you and in the mag. headshot is a headshot and when i can carry 50 rounds to your 7, i can go ahead and double tap.
OK, since we're sticking solely with hand guns here, I'd go with either a pair of ParaOrdance P14.45s (like the one I own), or possibly a pair of H&K USP in .45. Both are strong, reliable .45s, with a proven track record, and a powerful round. They both also have relatively high capacity magazines, meaning you can hit multiple Z's before reloading. Honestly, if I could, I'd just grab one pistol, and all the ammo/mags I can carry. Duel wielding looks cool in video games and movies, but in reality is extremely inaccurate and wasteful of ammo.
H&K P30. Quality and reliability of any Heckler and Koch, in my experience it's dead accurate, comes with night sights and fires the plentiful 9mmx19 round. The recoil is definitely manageable, plus it's quiet enough that your ears won't be ringing after the first slot, meaning less of the vulenerability to sneaking zombies that would definitely come with blasting off a few rounds of .40 S&W or .45 ACP.
