So your running from a horde of zombies, you come across an abandoned military building. You get in but soon realize the place is not abandoned, you need to get out of there! There's a small table in front of you arranged with almost every type of semi-automatic handgun in the world. You don't have any where to put the guns so you can only take one or two.So which gun do you grab to get out of there?

Me? I'd go for a Socom SOCOM Pistol Mk 23 Mod 0 .45 ACP. Why? Well because it's compact, comes standard with a laser and silencer, has an extended clip, and in my opinion .45 ACP is one of the best rounds it's big,has decent peircing power and does'nt have to much kickback.

mk23 just because its made by H&K and there the boss
OK, since we're sticking solely with hand guns here, I'd go with either a pair of ParaOrdance P14.45s (like the one I own), or possibly a pair of H&K USP in .45. Both are strong, reliable .45s, with a proven track record, and a powerful round. They both also have relatively high capacity magazines, meaning you can hit multiple Z's before reloading. Honestly, if I could, I'd just grab one pistol, and all the ammo/mags I can carry. Duel wielding looks cool in video games and movies, but in reality is extremely inaccurate and wasteful of ammo.
H&K P30. Quality and reliability of any Heckler and Koch, in my experience it's dead accurate, comes with night sights and fires the plentiful 9mmx19 round. The recoil is definitely manageable, plus it's quiet enough that your ears won't be ringing after the first slot, meaning less of the vulenerability to sneaking zombies that would definitely come with blasting off a few rounds of .40 S&W or .45 ACP.
H&K makes decent pistol and rifle caliber carbines and subs. Depending on where you're at you could have problems getting repair parts and they also tend to tear up the brass so no reloading.
i try duel weilding all the time and all though thats true its not for all guns. try .38 special snub noses and youll succeed. Not to mention lasers can fix that. And just to be a jackass duel weild .22 LR pistols. lol
I'd go with a Glock 17 due to the reliability, high magazine capacity, and accuracy. Desert Eagles should stay in video games where they belong lol
Good Lord....
The only thing worse than a desert eagle is TWO desert eagles.

What good is a desert eagle? To have the recoil dislocate ur shoulder so u can use ur arm for a bludgeon?
No thanks...

Im with that guy about the glock 17.

17 rounds is a lil better than 7. Minor recoil, fast reload. Reliable.
And guess what??? When u aim for the head like ur supposed to, it only takes one shot to kill them with ANYthing. And 17 dead zombiea is a lil better than 7.

But thats just my opinion...
ya most of the people who always say they would get a .50 caliber weapon either desert eagle or rifle have never seen one never used one so they have no idea about all they know is that its a ,50 personally i'm going with a 9mm sig 220 or a any type of glock
all this jumble about .22's really upsets me : /
i shall end it here..
YES it lacks power to kill in one shot (one shot, one kill)
BUT if you hit something in the head, anything in the head with 3 or 4 rounds,.. it IS going down.
(not taking any specific distances into consideration, obviously the further the less effective, but as with any firearm)
not to mention all thus perks listed in comments above,,,,lightweight, easy ammo, etc etc etc..
now i own 3 diff types of .22's, and when i go out shooting i take them, why? because they are easy and fun to fire, so easy to fire that stupid commercial caveman could do it. and i know for a fact, anyone who can hold a .22 the right way can score at least 3 or 4 shots in the same spot, scoped none the less a eye shot.

humph.. all i am saying is dont overestimate or rule this weapon out entirely..
but as for me, id go with mein Mini-14 with its devastating little mini-bullets
well i hate to break it to you, but you can kill with one .22 round rifle or pistol. the .22 pistol is the most common weapon for hitmen and the rifle .22 round is more powerful

A 9mm is really as big as you need to go when it comes to a zombie only scenario such as this. Now if you throw in the possibility of a human element meaning to do you harm the argument could be made to up the caliber of your weapons (mainly primary), but in this type of situation bigger isn't necessarily better.
