So your running from a horde of zombies, you come across an abandoned military building. You get in but soon realize the place is not abandoned, you need to get out of there! There's a small table in front of you arranged with almost every type of semi-automatic handgun in the world. You don't have any where to put the guns so you can only take one or two.So which gun do you grab to get out of there?

Me? I'd go for a Socom SOCOM Pistol Mk 23 Mod 0 .45 ACP. Why? Well because it's compact, comes standard with a laser and silencer, has an extended clip, and in my opinion .45 ACP is one of the best rounds it's big,has decent peircing power and does'nt have to much kickback.

My question is, how effective are you with a bat, or tire iron? How many times have you gone out and run ten mile hitting everything you come across with a bat? and the idea of doing damage from a half mile away, STUPID! If your a half mile away, why waste the ammo?
AK47 and i agree with Xcross, u dont have to reload a baseball bat or a tire iron
The problem with the AK 47 in lieu of an m16 or m4 is the fact that the AK47 doesn't swap out very well. Yeah, the parts are supposedly interchangable, but really? The AK47 is the poor mans M16.
I like the Mini-14 too. You can use AR-15 mags with it too. You can't use Mini-14 Mags with the AR-15.
You're probably right. I haven't ddealt with the MINI is a long time.
The AK47 is a much better weapon than the M16 in nearly all areas. More accurate (when used on single fire), stronger round, less likely to jam...

There's a reason the AK is the most copied assault rifle in the world.
but it has great durability and dosen't jam as much as other guns do. With a good cailber round and its semi to auto feature, it makes it a great gun.
Yeah but they wear down and break. And are much harder to kill a zombie with.
A true Russian AK will stand the test of time twice as long as an M16. A cheap knock-off, sure, you'll have problems. And, being that it's chambered in a more powerful caliber than the M16, and you can fire it on semi-auto, I fail to see how it would be "harder" to kill a zed with.
AKs are great. They'd survive along with the cockroaches but where are you gonna get the repair parts. Not everyone is proficient with machining.

7.62 x 39 and 5.45 x 39 are not as available in the US as other rounds. 308(7.62 x 51) and Nato 5.56 (5.56 x 45, .223 remington, .223 Wylde) 30.06, 30/30 and .22 are probably the most available. Personally I wouldn't rely on .22 lr or magnum for anything other then taking small game. I'd use it in a pinch if need be but it wouldn't be my protection ammo.

I'd gladly take an AK or SKS. My weapon of choice would be an AR or Mini 14.
Desert Eagles tend to jam in sustained fire so I'd keep it simple. Maybe a Glock 21 and another one as a backup. They're .45 caliber and hold 10 rounds a magazine. That's plenty of power for a head shot and less recoil than .50 cal. They're also light enough that they won't be a weight problem. I'd also stock up on as many magazines as I could find as well as ammo to fill them.
fuck that shit. dude, a good old pair of colt 1911's would do just fine. good power (.45) and a decent capacity. there's a reason that gun has been popular fo so long. very reliable. I own three myself, one dating back to wwII. as i said, good gun.
