this is what i was thinking as far as personal weaponry, tell me what you think of my setup and what you plan to use

primary weapon: AK-47: i chose this because i am not familiar with guns or gun care, and the AK-47 by all reports can function with little care and in bad conditions. Also, ammunition for this gun is some of the most common in the world so i hope it will be easier to find

secondary weapon: Medusa 47: the Medusa 47 is used by the Navy SEALS and is a 6 round revolver. yes, i know many others will prefer a pistol that can hold more ammunition, however the way i look at it, if i am using my pistol the situation is likely so grave that a few more rounds would not save me. another benefit to this gun is that it "chambers, fires, and extracts 25 different cartridges in the .38/9mm/.357 ammunition range. This does not include the .357 sig because the round is a .40 caliber cartridge that necks down to .357." Also, i have read that they can be shot underwater.

melee: Brooklyn Smasher baseball bat: i hope to god i never have to use melee. i chose not to go with a bladed weapon as it can get stuck in wall, bodies etc. this bat should not have that problem, and due to how its built i wont have to worry about it breaking, the video on the website shows it being run over with a car, bending it almost 45 degrees without breaking it.

Very cool!  I hadn't heard of the Medusa till you mentioned it.  I wish I could get my hands on one.

I got to fire a Medusa once, owned by a guy who operates a local range & training center. it was an awesome revolver in my opinion great for survival or SHTF use. its on my to-buy list.
