Okay, i've seen a few discussions about what would be your favorite weapon, the best weapon and so on. But now I got a brain twister, What would be the worst weapon to have in a zombie world, I mean the one weapon you do not want to use against the living dead.
Word of advice, this is a serious discussion so no toy bow and arrow like answers

If your in that situation its time to start reloading and stock pilling brother. I don't know if there is a law about how much ammo you can have in your state, here there isn't. I have probably 4000-10,000 rounds of ammo for my primary guns. I do a lot of target practice so it is way more economical to reload my own. Last time I bought bullets I was out of town, and firing a gun that wasn't mine. I bought 200 rounds of .40SW and it was about $60 for the two 100 round boxes of Winchester. I can reload 100 rounds for around $5-$10 depending on where I buy the bullets from, and what they are. Hollow points are typically a little more, and copper is a little more than lead. I spring for solid copper on everything I reload. I hate cleaning a really nasty gun so buying better stock is worth it for me, but you can get away a little cheaper if you don't mind cleaning.

nerve gas, will kil, your friends, you neighbors and you neighbors dog but not zombies.
a whip might seem like a good idea if you could hit a zed in the eyeballs or in the neck but that's fucking hard to do.

worst weapons i could see happening would be Tasers because they rely on pain overloads which zombies are immune to, chainsaw because cutting them would vaporize their blood infecting you and  flail - weapons just as likely to bash your skull in as a zombies professional weapons makers are wary of using these as are medieval combat masters.

actually a taser would work on zombies because it doesn't just rely on pain. what a taser really does is shoot a high voltage low amperage oscillating electric current into the body. the oscillating part is the key. because what does your body use to send signals from your brain to your muscles class. THAT'S RIGHT ELECTRICITY! the oscillating current overrides your central nervous system causing your muscles to quickly and painfully contract. this is why when someone is hit by a tazer they fall instantly to the ground. because there muscles lock up on them and they can't move. it throws them off balance and since zombies still rely on there brains to move them they must still have a nervous system which means a tazer will work on them. it will lock up there muscles knock them over and by you those few extra moments you need to either finish it off or escape. i personally have designed a stun glove as a last resort in case a zombie either gets the drop on me or over runs me. god forbid I'm ever trapped with a zombie on top of me inches away from a bite. that tazer glove may just save my life. it will allow me to hold it off long enough for me to get to a weapon or just run away.

true but in order to move they must be sending electrical signals from there brain to their muscles. muscles contract even after death. so a tazer would still cause their muscles to contract and lock up on them, causing them to fall over. its true zombies aren't around yet so we can only speculate but go ahead and taser a dead animal and you will see its limbs twitch and lock up. why should it be any different fro undead humans. its simple cause and effect. it has nothing to do with pain. zombies wont feel the pain of the zap but there muscles will still move because of the shock. they have to. everyone I've discussed this with on here agrees. the taser will effect a zombie. in that it will lock up their limbs and cause them to fall over. its not a kill weapon your right. its only to by you some time to act. trust me i've gone into great detail about this before.

Well I see a few flaws in that. Mainly that portions of the human central nervous system which registers pain is among the first parts to go into decomposition. This leaves zombies with the "lizard" brain - at the base of the spinal column - which as shown by pvs patients - is among the last parts of the human brain to die - it is the most primitive portion of our brains and does not process pain - second yes electricty is the whole system - but tasers are volt weapons - with very low amperage - amperage is what does the damage to living tissue - it is resistance - tasers use thousands to millions of volts- like a static electric shock - with minimal amperage because amperage will destroy - not incapasitate - what causes the pain is the resistance in the body to that electricty - zombies because they are in a state of decomposition, and are very wet things, would have a very low electric resistance - caused by the break down of cells - psytoplasm conducts elecrtricty well - as does blood with its high iron content - puss which has high mineral and salt content is also an excellent conductor - and since this ooze is no longer bound by a cardiovascular system or even intact cell walls - and as it is fluid it will flow down - gravity -  creating a link to ground - as a bird staning on a high voltage wire shows - it matters where the electricty flows -  so the electrical system will flow away making tazers utterly useless - furthermore your tazer glove would electrocute you becuase if a zombie got that close his conductive fluids would basically be on you - and electricity follows the path of least resistance - into you-  this downward flowing of conductive materials would cause an eventual drying out the upper portions of the head - now so zombies lizard brains have an expiry date-  because well dried brains dont send signals - no conductors no power - but it is possible that a foreign organism is powering them - a kind of viral sybiosis with the cell - this would be akin to the animal cell absorbing the mitochondira - and as a virus is not alive technically untill the moment of reproduction it would not be affected by an outside electrical current - fat which zombies would be mostly made of is a passable insulator - if no high ampage is applied to heat it to its combustion point -  i play with and build  tesla coils and make them sing (did you know they can sing its really cool ) - sooooo i revised my whole statement for a little more clairty but this has been fun as hell i havent had an intelectual debate like this in a long time - :)

i admit you know allot but frankly i think your over thinking this. again it has nothing to do with pain or the brain. pain is merely a side effect of a tazer. what a tazer is really designed to do is send in an oscillating current into a body. a human body i might add. this current overrides the signal coming from the brain to the muscles. it doesn't do anything to the brain what it does do is control the muscles making them spas out of control. ask anyone who has ever been tazered and they'll tell you that while it was happening they couldn't move no mater how hard they tried. basically its like your whole body cramped up on them. and that's where most of the pain is coming from. ever have a really really bad leg cramp to the point where you can't move. it. i have not fun, and that's basically what a tazer does but to your whole body. the more a zombie degrade frankly i think the easier it will be for the electricity to get to the muscles. that's the whole trick your not going fro the brain but the muscles which remain widely unchanged. I'm sure that a tazer will still work on a zombie. your not trying to kill it with a tazer just through it off balance enough for the next more. either running away or finishing it off with a gun or something. i don't think the current is strong enough to pass from the victim into someone else. since tazer are very localized. you have to hit the victim in the abdominal to be most effective. other areas like the hand or face don't really work that well. as for my stun glove don't worry i'll be insulated either way. "Tesla's Revenge" is just one part of a much bigger outfit. i agree this was nice, and yeah i know they can sing. in fact they used to be called a poor mans speaker.

true i do over think things but this is all mental and well for fun good thing id add a ground or lotsa rubber =/

cool - this is fun - i'd like to get your opion on some ideas ive had bumping arround in my head - the reason i joined here was to do exactly that -  :)

no problem man i like talking to people discussing ideas. anyone on here who knows me knows that.
