tazers are mean...they put you in a spaz after 4 seconds ad people use them at the most inapporpriate times...especially when you were invited...

but as for zeds i really don't know...

The body runs on electric impulses. A tazer will work so far as i it will physically disrupt the synapses and cause the muscles to contract i.e it will at the very least 'freeze' a zombie while the current passes through and may possibly cause it to collapse.

The pain side obviously won't affect them so they will recover quicker than a human.

Law enforcement issue Tasers only shock for 5 seconds. I would say if you carried the Taser C2 (the civilian model), it may help you escape from a single zombie. The C2 has a 30-second electrical pulse, allowing you to fire, drop the taser, and run like hell. The electromuscular disruption aspect of the Taser should still work (in theory) on a zombie, but as stated earlier, the pain aspect wouldn't have any effect.

5 seconds is only the initial shock on law enforcement tasers. Once the first 5 seconds is done then the officer can determine how long they want to shock the target. Been there, done that, sell the t-shirt.

I believe that's only true with the M26, though I may be incorrect. The X26, the newer, more effective model, cuts the shock off after the 5-second interval. If you want to shock the subject again, you have to pull the trigger again.

That's what I said.
Good luck. I'll stand over there and watch.
prob wouldnt work since they technichally cant feel
