What are you willing to do in order to survive?
Where do you cross the line of what you would do for self preservation? Would you kill innocents? Would you eat your loved ones? how far would you go?

That's what i was thinking, however, I wouldn't see any reason to kill someone innocent and I would draw the line at cannibalism.

so you would not eat another human in order to survive? What if one of the people you were with recently died and you had no food? You would seriously die?

There are plenty of other sources of food. I don't plan on getting walled in somewhere, so I don't think food would be much of an issue.

eat grass, raid the pet shop for guinea pigs (they breed like rabbits) but I draw the line at cannibalism

What if you had to watch the ones you loved die because they can't live off grass and the damn pet store is just fresh out of new pets to nom nom on..Sorry I'm not meaning to push I'm just very curious. Would you really let yourself die for fear of breaking a fallen society's taboo?

I live in the boonies and can hunt. I am also somewhat of a survivalist. I have canned foods and water stored up for emergency. It's part of being prepared. Cannibalism is not an answer for me and mine.

The point is preparations fall through. I"m not to keen on having to eat the flesh of my peers...I"m no big advocate for Jonathan Swift's indent Proposal. But if it came down to it I would rather live and be creeped out that I'm eating the other other white meat, than starve just because I'm not strong enough to break what I'd been taught was wrong..Things we don't expect happen and we must be flexible for us and ours to survive.

I disagree that preparations fall through. It may just be a bit until you can get to your stuff but it's still prepared. If most people keep their wits about them and don't go postal they can survive. Toss in flesh eating undead and it gets much more hairy. I work 38 miles from my home. I have secondary transportation if something would happen to my car. Because of my job I have plenty of firepower. In the days of Terrorism on our soil you've got to be prepared for when the SHTF. Now all things may not go as planned but you make a plan and stick to it as closely as you can. If you get off course you get back on as soon as possible.
Are you asking if I'd steal or kill in order to survive. The answer is a resounding yes. In chaos and Anarchy then the strong and smart survive. Read the story on page starting with Part One. You'll see what I mean. -

I think kimi just wants you to say you would eat people. Isnt that what zombies do? well imagine if you did eat a fallen friend or innocent to survive and another survivor were to some how walk in on it dont you think you would get shot thinking you were a zombie? If i happend to stumble across you while you were eating a friend for survival id quickly blow your head off thinking you were a zombie so its a lose lose situation. Regardless as i always say no matter what when z day comes we are all dead its just a matter of when.
