what if the virus becomes waterborne?
something that occured to me recently. if the zombie virus got into the water supply, then we're all dead

I have a small river just by where i live, fresh clean and in constant movement.
But in-case of water contamination, remember the trick is to boil any water you believe to be Soiled by whatever that should be. Better safe than Zombified

Someone posted in another thread to rearrange your rain gutters to empty in to a barrel. You can use this system to purify your water too. All you need is two 5 gallon buckets.

You can also do it with two buckets some tubing, charcoal and sand.
