What is your blade/firearm of choice if you could only pick one?
I would pick my machete because I think guns make too much noise and draw attention to the zombies, with a gun basically you are saying fuck you zombies, but also you are saying come and eat me. besides that my machete is really fucking sharp and light weight, better than my army knife, it is too short and i would probably get infected if I got that close to a zed.

Kukri Machete. They come in an number of varieties, but they are a great all around blade.

Of the attainable weapons I agree with TravisMath. Kukri is a very good short range hand to hand weapon. Light, durable, easy to clean, not complicated, if sharpened properly can cut a zombie head off in one swipe. For the lesser attainable's I say a monk spade. Though long and heavy, if in the hands of someone proficiently trained, a very good medium to long range hand to hand weapon reducing the need for firearms that will attract attention. For those that don't know what a monk spade is Its a giant brass blade(about the size of an average snow shovel) on one end attached to a long pole with a crescent blade on the other end.

Have you used a TBT? They do nothing well and a lot of things poorly.They are overly hyped since it appeared in the movie "The Hunted" then there were several law suits over the design/manufacturing rights when the designer died which got it more coverage than it really deserved. Better off with a machete, at least it gives you a bit more reach. Even then a Esee Junglas, not as long as a machete but heavier blade would be a better tool.

very nice choice the only problem is i would switch the m4 for an ak... less chance of jamming + its easier to clean... + its a SOO much easier to use...

my trusty model 1887 replica and a nice buck knife with a 6 inch blade. i'd love to get my samurai on with a katana though.

I prefer the Mauser HSc pistol because it's lightweight, accurate, german xD, and small. As for noise: superacids aren't hard to make... Keep in mind that a potatoe is sufficient at silencing firearms...
