What is your blade/firearm of choice if you could only pick one?

I would pick my machete because I think guns make too much noise and draw attention to the zombies, with a gun basically you are saying fuck you zombies, but also you are saying come and eat me. besides that my machete is really fucking sharp and light weight, better than my army knife, it is too short and i would probably get infected if I got that close to a zed.

hammer, easy to find and i can just throw it at them in a pinch btw katans are not made to break thru bone they have brittle edges which will chip yes they are sharp light whatever but there made to cause death by blood loss your best bet is a weapon that can cave in the skull

An M8 with a silencer, grenade launcher or hand grip, and a decent scope.

And when I run out of ammo, either a trench knife or a Kukri Machete.

My brand new Hanwei Tactical Wakizashi, with a 20 inch blade its short and fast perfect for tight quarters and the 9.5 inch tsuka provides a good two handed grip.  Its easy to maintain and has a raptor series blade, which is an excellent, easy to sharpen katana blade. It's the newest addition to my collection thanks to my amazing girl friend.  And yes I have skill with a blade, and although it might be a production katana bought on line, it does handle 90 percent of what a "real" katana can.  Its all in the geometry steel and temper.
