What is your dream load-out.

Okay. Here is the scenario.

You, my lucky Zed Eradicator, have won the lottery. Yes, you have won the big one. When it is all said and done you will walk away with at least $100,000,000. One Hundred Million Dollars my friends. You know the Zpoc is coming. You have about a year to prepare. You've got to live with in the law up to the point the Zpoc hits. Your purchases must be with in the law and reasonably attainable in today's world and the nation you choose to reside in. Weapons that are unattainable or illegal in today's world are still illegal and unattainable in this thread. How will you prepare?

"The Rockies" is too broad.  You want to make sure you are in a wet valley otherwise you are going to be stuck with high desert country and lack of sufficient water.

 

I live in the "Rockies" 100% off grid.  Trust me

Water is very important. Gotta have that deep water well plus other collection apparatus. Rain water doesn't seem like much but it can add up. Ponds and such for livestock. Even water from sewage can be invaluable.

One of my friends gets enough catchement run off his roof from rain and snow, he can keep his 15,000 gallon under ground water cistern filled.  He figured in a severe drought, he'd still have enough water to sustain him for 1 1/2 -- 2 years.

Grey water recycling def.  Showers & Laundry.  If you are doing kitchen water, I'd suggest using a rock and sand filter to get any grease out, cos that can turn pretty funky quick.  I just bought another wringer washer.  It looks like Rosie the Robot from the Jetsons.  LOL 

 

ALL our water is recycled except black water.  That goes into a poly tank, I suppose we could plant some vines near there to start a low growing fence.

I like the boat, foil and helo. I'm not an island guy. Besides, the government would be all up in your pooper if you start doing major construction on an island. Heaven forbid you rub a reef. You buy a Silo and they already know you are nuts but hell who cares you just bought something from the government. I did see a shopped picture of a castle on an oil rig. Now that's a whole other .gov shitstorm.

Fuck, I like your idea more! I only suggested so many different places because of logistics. Now that I think about it, a medical facility, or anything for that matter, on an island would be overrun by scared-ass people trying to ecape the zeds. It would probably be better to put that in the mountain, or silo, compound. The only reason I wanted a compound on a plain was for room. If what you say is true about the space around the silo, I could just move the renewable resource compound around the silo, maybe even use it as part of a barrier.

360 degree and several hundred yards clear field of fire. Plenty of forewarning if hostiles are coming your way. Set video posts on roadways and even pathways inbound or outbound.

I could put a bunch of bio-diesel plants around the whole area. Damn, I'd be making so much fuel I couldn't give it away fast enough.
