what is your favorite zombie movie and why?

what is your favorite zed movie? and please don't give a flaky answer like "oh i like it cuz it has zombies in it", no thats not good enough. give a (good) reason why it's your favorite.

Night of the Living Dead. (the original 1968 Romero version)

Because it started this all for me (and the world, for that matter.) I remember sneaking up when a child, late at night to watch it on TV. WOW....i was impressed.

To me it is one of the few horror films that has really stood the test of time. Granted most women would not fall apart like she did but I do know a few "miss priss" types that I think would still freak.out.

For me this is a tough one. "Night of the living dead" will always stand out as the father of the modern Zombie movie. But Diary of the dead I thought had a lot of good stuff in it too. The Resident Evil movies I thought were a little over the top for a zombie movie but then it was not all about zombies either.

I guess I'd have to say Romero's first and so far last zombie movies are my favs. Flight of the living dead is also good

I love all the Resident Evil movies.Alice is a badass zombie killer.I like the way the last movie ended with the possibility of an Alice army.

i love the re game series and was a huge fan for the movie of it when the first one came out, but i honestly think that it would have been a legendary series if they could have stuck to the main characters of the game, especially chris and clair redfield and most importantly leon and wesker. im not a big fan of all the supernatural things that this alice character is now capable of since it crosses my bull shit thresh-hold. and the cgi re movie that did feature leon kind of made leon seem...well..odd. but i laughed heartily and with feeling at the zeds that were attempting to come off of the plane through the door.

28 Days aren't zombies, they are infected with rage virus and still alive. (Sorry to be a train spotter)
One of my fave zombie films is one called UnDead by the same guys that recently wrote DayBreakers. Undead was one of their first low budget films made here in Oz. It's funny, the characters are SO typical of small town OZ and it has just the right amount of gore. Look for it, it may not be easy to find.
