What is your one horrible weakness in a Zpoc? You'll be surprised to hear mine

Ok, I have the skills, the equip, the location, etc in real time in the real world. As I have mentioned many times, I live 100% off grid in the Rockies.

So what's my biggest fear or weakness? What scares the shit out of me?

I wear glasses.  I am horribly myopic to the point that without corrective lenses I can see clearly only about 8 inches in front of me.  Genuine coke bottles!  Typically I wear contacts and have several pairs of glasses on hands.

But contacts eventually break down and get rips, pin holes or rough edges.  And they have an expiration date, wherein the plastics also get weaker the older they get, even unopened, so they don't last as long and would be kinda worthless after 10-15 years of stockpiling. And they have maintantence issues with cleaning, solution, etc.

And glasses get scratched up, break or are easily ripped off your face. Plus they impede your vision during rain and get fogged up easily  (Try wearing glasses in a gas mask sometime)

This concerns me to the point that I have seriously considered Lasik, because this is my one big Achilles' Heel in life.  Especially when it comes to night vision, I'd be absolutely useless without glasses on or contacts in.  I could see well enough during the day to drive a car, but not well enough to scout the horizon or shoot and actually hit something.

So, what is your Achille's Heel - what is your one horrible weakness that may end up causing your demise or swing the advantage against you in a disaster or Zpoc?

I just went through the deep gash/cut thing a couple of months ago when I ripped open my knee at a music festival. The paramedics had no clue what to do and handed me some gauze and tape (thanks guys).

I found some hand sanitizer too, so went in the bathroom, pulled back the skin flap, washed out as much dirt and stone that I could get with my leg up on the sink. Did that about 3 times until it most of the grit was gone, rinsed for about 10 minutes, then put the sanitizer directly on it like 6 times (man that hurt like a son of a bitch).

Then I folded back the flap, taped it together and covered it with gauze. When I got home, I cleaned it again and added antibacterial ointment.

I knew I couldn't get stitches cos of the amt of dirt that was still in there and the "flap" was eventually going to rot off anyway (which it did), so I bubbled the dirt out with 50-50 mix of hyrdrogen peroxide and water for 3 days, lightly cleaning it with q-tips to help lift the dirt out and then just kept it taped and covered until it started "melting" and healing on its own.

I THOUGHT I could do the stitches myself if needed to the night of the accident, but it got so swollen and tender there was no way. It hurt to look at it.

My husband just kept saying, "GROSS! Don't you want to go to a doctor?" But, nature and our bodies are amazing and after 6 weeks, I have a healthy scab, never got any infection and a much smaller "hole" in my leg.

So, I have rethought some of what I keep in my med kit so if we ever have to deal with something like that again, I have added the necessary items.
You sound like some sort of Chuck Norris/MacGuyver type person. I'm heading to the Rockies when the shit hits!

Ha ha ha - if you only knew

Im have a phobia of spider's and Tornadoe's so when it come's to basement's and celler's im out and bad weather scares me but i can stand it.
you know, they say there is always a spider within 8 feet of you at all times. Just sayin. . .
My biggest disadvantage would probably be the fact that I smoke. I played baseball and football all through school, and have the ability to be athletic. But, the fact that I'm 30 years old now, have a 2-year-old son, I'm married, I work full time, and I'm a full-time student pretty much eradicate any sort of free time that could be used for working out. And the smoking a pack a day thing doesn't help much either.
take the patches or use a electronic ciggeret my dad does it and it hlps with the cravings just dont use more then 2 patches

I used to smoke and drink and eat like a Burgher. I cut all that crap out. I do an hour of cardio 3 times a week. I stopped smoking. I went on the Atkins dies, lost 50 lbs and put back on 20 of muscle. I can run an hour in workout gear, which equals a solid 20 min with gear. My family now all works out too.  My wife looks amazing now, and my sons are rock hard warriors who have studied kickboxing for the last 3 years.  We are stockpiling weapons, ammo and we train at the shooting range once a quarter. We have pretty much elimated sugars and starches from our diet. We are suburban preppers and are buying some rural land to set up our stronghold. The zPoc is real...whether it's a cholera/rabies viral hybrid, or some conceited college student with a superiority complex and some pocket genetic material...it's coming. Get ready...get ready NOW!

My horrible weakness is that I have no real access to any type of firearm. Granted, I do have a baseball bat and a shovel that can prove handy in dire situations. I don't think that those two items would give me a solid upper hand in zombie combat.

Sharpen the edge of the shovel - nasty ass shit

my vision is ok but my problem is if i dont know were to go then my stomach knots up i feels like you need to puke but thats the only time it happens like at school trying to find home room plus i havent been neer guns pacifsit for a dad i live in south florida so guns are no problem same with ammo i do have some training for guns but i need refinement
Shove your finger down your throat to get the puking done with. Stand up and go that way! Fight with what you've got. Plenty of vids online can show you how to use a gun if you don't have one at the moment.
