I was just wondering what made everyone on this site a believer. Was it something you've seen? Do you just believe that theres alot out there that isn't fully understood? Did those cool zombie movies give you the ideas? Or are you just really paranoid? Not being sarcastic, but I am curious about what got you becoming a believer. Outside of Voodoo and a certain parasite found in the south: do you believe in something killing people and then reanimating them into flesh starved killing machines? I believe in the idea of a pyschotic dictator funding his even crazier scientists to create "the perfect soldier" or virus to help him gain control or more fear over the more powerful nations. His way of evening out the playing field. Watching as other nations fall into chaos. But then again, I may just need professional help. lol But either way, tell me what you think.

I've always been a very avid fan of Zombies. All types from the ancient Voodoo Zombies to the more recent cinematic variety. There were several things that really got me started on them. First being I've always been a fairly morbid person with very outlandish interests and that all started when I was very young like 5 or 6. Then there was the original Night of the Living Dead (which is still my all time favorite movie). I remember watching it when I was very young and just eating it up. (Pun intended.) I also have a uncle with a strange fondness of government conspiracies and he's always talking about all the crazy and unbelievably drastic measures that our government actually takes. I being the very morbid child that I was, used to sit for hours and listen to him spew forth these horrid conspiracies. Eventually hooking me. One of his big conspiracy theories is about viral testing and viral warfare and how our government does this with total secrecy and they withhold all this information from us so we won't object to their actions and over throw them on the moral basis of our religiously oriented masses. So it began. Once I got old enough to really research things I found out all kinds of terrible things and I became a believer. The thing about mankind is we are a wretched, vain, self-perpetuating species that is capable of almost anything. I don't deny the vastness of cruelty that mankind has wrought on our planet and ourselves in the least. We are capable of every cruel and disgusting thing you can imagine. It's sad but very true. Just look throughout history at all the destruction and killing that has taken place at the hands of men. It's disgusting, but it's life. It's the human condition. We are by nature a very violent species. So naturally it's going to be at our own hands that one day we eventually fall. Be it nanobots, viral outbreak/warfare or just people killing people until nothing is left. If by some miracle we don't push ourselves into extinction at an alarmingly rapid pace, then mother nature will surely finish the job herself via some massive plague or other natural disaster much like with the dinosaurs. Cleansing the earth of the animal that is man. (meaning mankind)
Night of the Living Dead, when I was a kid. That was it.

The other Deads that came along later too. Even the Return series.

But what really did it for me was urban rush hour, especially winter morning rush hour. Talk about shamblers.
