But only through training, preparation and discipline will anyone survive. And as in any survival situation, the fundamentals are always paramount: NOURISHMENT,HYDRATION;SHELTER;SAFETY. But the priority changes to SHELTER;SAFETY;HYDRATION;NOURISHMENT. I have food and water stored safely. I have a system in place to secure my home against Zeds that will also allow me to employ "blackout" conditions in my home. Do NOT attract any attemtion to your home. No lights, no sounds. I have stockpiled a variety and quanity of weapons from sniper rifles to compound bows axes and swords. I am currently stockpiling the appropriate ammo as well. I have trained all members of my family in weapons and defense. We run drills when the opportunity presents itself. We study and learn about effective survival and urban battle techniques. We will always retain an escape strategy. And we are always assessing and re-assessing our situation. When will the time be right to fight or flee? Because we have never witnessed a Zpoc, we will have to hope that our training, preparation and discipline will allow us to remain as the species most likely to survive and evolve.

You don't tell everyone in your neighborhood that you've been storing food, guns, ammo and water. When the SHTF they will be on your doorstep and unless they have been following your lead they will be a burden.
