!!!!!!!!!THIS THREAD HAS MOVED!!!!!!!!!
I'm locking this thread and moving the conversation over here:

I've consolidated a list of scenarios there which you can comment on and add to.
What scenarios do you want to see in the film?
A scenario might include specific situations such as, a character is bit and his fellow survivors decide they must kill him, but all they have is a shovel.
You can also propose ideas for photos, music, etc. For example you may suggest: I want to see some super realistic looking zombie bites photos.
You can also post the type of stuff you'd like to contribute. For example: I want to make some kick ass music for the film.

Permalink Reply by DakotaYoda on June 22, 2011 at 7:21am I guess I have a question before throwing things out there...
Are the scenes/scenarios meant, in the final product, to be used as found footage and it's just a general collection, or is this something more akin to WWZ in that it is an organized reflection on the outbreak that took place?
I guess the main question is - Are you/we attempting to maintain storylines or will things jump around? To me that's a big deal in terms of suggestions for scenarios, etc.
Permalink Reply by Skot (Lost) on June 22, 2011 at 9:48am Great question. We have a couple things we want to achieve... First, we want to create scenarios that anyone can attempt. These would be self contained, they would not need to be driven by hard plot elements. These scenarios we intend to weave together with other footage we receive. These would contribute to a found footage style.
With that said, we are also looking for "key contributors" who we will ask to shoot multiple scenarios using the same character(s) and/or style. These scenarios by key contributors may take place across multiple points in the LZ timeline. This footage would be a bit more story driven.
All of the footage will likely be editing in chronological order according to our timeline. So we will begin with footage dealing with nothing more than a flu outbreak.
All that said, this is a big experiment so who knows what happens once the footage comes in. If we see a story forming we may embrace it.
Does that help?

I think this could be a perfect start off point for a continuous character; you could shoot a scene where your character is talking about conspiracy theories with their friends or family: government cover-up, pharmaceutical companies trying to flog new products etc. It would be easier to film, as you wouldn't need any gory make-up as the zombies haven't hit yet, and you could do it in your house. Maybe one member of the house could have a cold, and everyone else is taking the piss out of them, saying they'll be dead soon. Then....
I'd like to see how a group of people would deal with a member of their group who is schizophrenic or has multiple personality disorder. This would require some good acting, but I've seen plenty of that from the vids already uploaded.
Maybe some footage of one group bartering for goods with another, and it all ending in violence, that could be good.
Others have mentioned they'd like to see how a religious person, priest/nun would cope with such an outbreak. I think this is a great idea; remember that sweet small town vicar? He's now blowing zombies heads off then giving the corpse the last rites!
Permalink Reply by Rj on June 23, 2011 at 8:37am If you could provide me with footage from a hill over viewing a city, and with 360 degree panorama showing the different aspect of this hill and its "surroundings", I can play around with it, attempt to do a decent special effects job on it and when i sometime soon i hope can afford a decent sized greenscreeen i can film myself with a sword and some other prop stuffs.
Any idea for a sword in particular or were you thinking generic machete/ katana?
Anyways i know the exact scenario you are thinking about, watched latest game of thrones Episode, the beginning of that Episode just with a major US type city.
Could go into town and film from a high vantage point of my town Bergen, but i feel its to small to generate that effect a major Us or even a medium sized one, it couldn't compare if it tried :x
