What skills are needed to kill/escape a zombi?

you're probably right, but still, there are situations where you need to do something and you just can't. If you've had this, tell me what to expect.

Learn to shoot, learn to manipulate you gun as in load it, take it apart and put it back together, clean it. Learn to make weapons from everyday tools and articles. Learn to be self sufficient. Don't rely on others to protect you. Get in decent physical shape. You don't have to be an olympic athlete but being in decent shape isn't gonna hurt you.

If you can't shoot, OR run, you'd be f***ed. Better hide well, or find someone capable of handling a weapon.

In order to surivive, it is a MUST that you just have knowledge. Even without firearms training, or without a strong physique, a zombie is no match for one with strong intellect and who knows what they are doing. Remember, the brain is the zombie's greatest enemy. It's their weakest point, and our strongest. We as a living human race have the ability to think, which once again, is the zombie's greatest enemy. All I can say is, know where to hide, know what items can kill a zombie, know how much supplies you need to hold out, and figure out a way to escape if worst comes to worst. It is still possible to survive without firearms and good physique, just know how to think in bad situations, and don't panic. Good luck :]

I'm pretty much agreeing with this. I have no training for firearms either and I don't even know where would I even get one in case I should get one fast. I'm counting on good hideouts, preparation when it comes to supplies and avoiding contact with Zombis as much as possible.

Find a zombie then start running. Sorry, bad joke. If you have a firearm, use it but be sure of your shot. Take a few practice shots to get the feel for the aiming but don't waste ammo. When your running, stop to shoot. If it's unsafe to stop and shoot, just run and don't look back. When your running for your life, your adrenaline kicks in and you can run faster than you thought. Finding other survivors is a must but some will leave you if you slow them down. Sorry, it's the truth. Don't over react and NEVER hesitate. It's your life on the line.

As long as you can walk without a problem, you can condition yourself to run. Put on a good (not fancy) pair of sneakers, and walk until you're sore. A couple of weeks later, jog until you're sore. Just a little sore- over do it and you're screwed. Then run short distances. Walk the rest. After a couple of months, you'll be able to run like you never thought you could.

Shooting: Buy a 22 cal rifle. They're cheap to shoot, so you can practice even if you're on a budget. See how big your groups are at a given range - say 25 feet. After a time, run a brisk pace for a minute or so, then shoot your target at the same range. The way you shoot when not stressed is about twice as well as you will shoot when you are stressed.
