Just list your weapon and if you could get a picture of it that would be awesome! And remember, these weapons have to be accesable to you. Like localy not only made in japan only (Example) weapons. No fantasy crap you see online. Thats useless. then write 2 reasons you picked that weapon.

Mine would be

1. A nail gun with a barrel.
- Nails are reusable, barrel to correct the aim.

2. A Machete
- Does not run out of bullets, i am better at close range

Mosin Nagant rifle - long range, good knock down, and something a raider would notice being shot with.

Kel-Tec sub-2000 - small compact, shares mag's with side arm. chambered in common 9mm.

Glock 19 - trusted by many LEO's and military around the world. mags, and ammo common.

Paratech Hooligan Tool - force my way into where i need to go / field expendent weapon (only i don't own)

cold steel 'bad ax', and machete - melee weapons

#1.) Lifted truck #2.)Weld on steel grill #3.) Full tank of gas Then go plow the fucking roads...:)
@Davina - do you know how a nail gun works? the one in your pic is not gonna penetrate a skull to destroy the brain. I'd say 90% of nail guns require an air compressor and air tank, not portable at all. cordless nail guns are heavy, require gas, and most cases specialized batteries, and are not common. I'd say barely more common then battle ready katana i think your refering to, as they cost about the same. if your talking about reusable nails as in reloadable, NAH... nail guns use nails that are factory loaded into plastic holding strips.

i think you might need to take some of your own advice

well my picks,

Compound bow
arrows are reusable, and arrows can easily be improvised

stun baton 500k volts or more
not a kill weapon, crowd control. fast and effortless dropping of zeds, give time for proper kill, or a chance to run, and a rechargable batery.

custom sword
quarter inch hardened steel cut out desired shape, sharpen, and wrap the handle with some cloth or leather., i'd go for a simple blade a small width, straight 2-3 ft blade, and a generous handle. use a oxy-acetyl tourch to cut, or maybe hack saws, many blades and time.
unless your James Bond...then anything can work
M44 Mosin Nagant, bullets are as common as the .30-06. powerful, same with emclean good knock down, and would just simply scare the crap out of raiders hearing such a rifle. fast reload with strip mags.
{i have herd comparisons with a Mosin and ar15 as well I shot along side a .30-30. the Mosin makes a beast of a sound}

Dual .44 cal colt Navy revolvers, thought with a slow reload, the power it packs makes up for it, and having 12 .44 balls, or custom made .44 minie's would do wonders in either tripping zombies or putting raiders down.

I could say the bayonet on the mosin, but then again I could go with a knife or a lighter crowbar.
Well...i'd stick with father's WM 70, and loads of my blades. Also a crowbar would be a good tool.
A titanium Haligan Bar
Wielded by fire and rescue workers everywhere, the Halligan Bar is the best door-smashing, get-me-the-heck-into/outta-here, zombie-fightin’ tool in the world. The deluxe 30-inch one I have is made of high tensile strength titanium, so it will never rust and, despite its imposing appearance, weighs just 5.25 lbs. It even has eyelets for a strap! (note: less exorbitant Halligans are available in alloy steel; my titanium bar was a gift).

So far I've only used mine to do three things: hook one end over a bathroom stall to do pull ups, carry it as a hobo's bindle stick and impress people on my walk home from work. Nevertheless, I live in a 17-story apartment building. Simply knowing I own one puts my mind at ease. Did you ever hear the story of the maintenance guy on 9/11 who hacked his way through a wall using a squeegee? With something as obscenely strong and useful as a Halligan Bar, he'd have been out in seconds.

I keep mine leaning against the wall in the corner, where it waits for the day when I need to smash into or out of something... or I hear screams of "He's trapped inside!" or "The Zombies are here!"

OUTSTANDING !!!! Buying one!!!
My weapons?

Century Arms CETME 7.62 Battle Rifle
-powerful, long range, and accurate; even if a direct head shot is not achieved, more than likely the round will cause enough damage to break a G's neck, and incapacitate him, or even kill 'em.
- Ammo is plentiful; 7.62x51 (.308) is one of the most common military and civilian rounds in the world, especially in the US. I won't have to worry about running out of ammo any time soon.
- Semi-Auto; fast enough rate of fire to take down Zack, not so fast as to waste ammo.

Para Ordnance P14.45 LDA (Hi-Capacity 1911)
-Powerful; the .45ACP cartridge has been proven to knock people on their arse, regardless of body armor, drugs, etc.
-Capacity; unlike most .45's, and nearly all 1911's, the P14 has a normal mag of 14 rounds, making it equal to nearly any 9mm in terms of firepower.
-Dependability; the 1911 is one of the most dependable designs of pistol in the world. Models that were made in WWII served in Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, and the Gulf War, and were still regarded as top notch weapons (if a little inaccurate, due to the rifling being shot out of the barrels)
-Ammo is plentiful; like the 7.62 round, the .45ACP round is one of the most common pistol calibers in the world, especially the US.

Gerber Infantry Combat Knife
-Heavy; while this may seem bad, the weight of a knife usually indicates its duribility. The heavier the knife, the better it will be in hand-to-hand combat.
-Multiple impact areas; the knife's blade is long, and thick, increase the amount of damage you can do with one swing. The pommel also is designed to be used as an impact weapon, meaning you could crash it into Zack's temple on the reverse swing.

Crowbar
-Multi-use; besides its use as a weapon, the crowbar is an excellent tool for getting into things, such as crates, buildings, etc.
-Excellent brain-impact weapon; the crowbar's design is perfect for skull penetration. One downward swing will generally crack the skull, if not penetrate it.
a heavily modified single shot .22 rifle, with homemade bullpup stock, self-designed scope rail. I'm still working on putting it together, it should be done within a few weeks. The stock is plywood, the scope rail I designed in solidworks and had it rapid prototyped, possibly casted (for durability) in the near future. Its really a one of a kind .22lr rifle. compact, handy, lightweight and (in the near future) rugged. The rifle is already pretty accurate and reliable, I added these modifications to make it even more usable. With ironsights it could shoot 200 yards accurately, hopefully with a scope I can shoot even further than that. .22LR ammo is lightweight and easy to carry lots of, it doesn't recoil much and for the most part is pretty quiet.

on my hip I got a Glock 19 9mm pistol, with 5 spare magazines.

I currently have a Hi Point C9, its great but not suitable for carry use. I'm hoping I can locate a Glock 19 for free not long after the end of the world. I learned how to shoot a pistol with a Glock 19, I'm rather fond of it although I can't actually afford one. I'm pretty accurate with a 9mm and ammo should be easy to find. also all the cops around here carry Glocks, spare mags even an extra Glock (should mine break) shouldn't be hard to find.

Ontario Knife 12" sawback machete- combines a machete with a hacksaw.

and a mini crowbar. the machete is for chopping, hacking, sawing stuff, the crowbar is for wreaking, bashing, hitting stuff. also a pry bar.
I love Glocks and I have carried on for years. They have to hell and back reliability but I would opt for the G23 model. The 40 has more kinetic energy
I gotta say my trusty ol' Lead pipe. It's hard, neverneeds reload and i'm a heavy hitter. ;)
