Best all around zombie weapon. The silenced 9mm MP5. It has short to med range. The Accuracy is also very high and with little kick and very light wieght it would be easy to carry over long distances. The 9mm round is one of the most common rounds out thier. Ammo wouldn't be hard. The silencer however would be harder to find but it would provide little noise to keep yourself undectected. You can make homemade silencers but they won't work as effectivly as the real ones. But its better than nothing right? My Side arm would be the Silenced (or course) Berret M9. This is one of the best all around pistols used by the navy seals and armies across the nation. It has the 9mm bullet. With not very mutch kick and an easy to clean gun. My third weapon would be a Hatchet or a firemans axe. Axes would be easy to upkeep and common. The hatchet would be lighter and easier to swing and can be used for other tihngs besides zombie killing. But the range is very short keep you at a close distance. Last resort weapon. These are some of the best weapons to have during a zombie outbreak.
Amen, Tommy. 9mm round is common place, so MP5 (stable, light) and any 9mm pistol (I prefer the Glock 17, ambidetrous) would top my list. Machete over hatchet, but same essential benefits/risks. I would steer away from long rifles, as they are rarely silenced (unless you can access military stocks); you would attract Z's, so if Z's are far way, stay quiet. Instead of ax, Home Depot sells a fiberglass/plastic handled adz -stock up before the outbreak! Sort of an pick and small ax with straight handle. Swings more like a bat than a regular ax.
I need to move out of Commiefornia...  You free states get all the cool toys.
Yes you do.............  Yes we do!!!
I would use a pump action Mossberg shotgun (if you miss at close range with this, your aiming in the wrong direction), a katana (this comes in handy when you have to deal with a single zombie at a time), and .22 LR winchester rifle with a scope on it (good for ranged head shots, even though some take a couple of rounds, but it's not as loud as the big boys and it makes an excellent small game hunting rifle).
I Would use any blunt object to hand!!!
Try a Saiga 12 out for size. Semi Auto 12 gauge shotgun. Available and on the market today. Yeah i know there are others out there but this one can be had for about $600.
