This is a Taurus PT 738 TCP in .380 ACP. I've sold over a dozen of them since March. They weigh 10 ounces and fit in your front, back or cargo pocket like a wallet. They are thin and you still get the .38/9mm caliber everyone knows and loves. I have one left and it will be sold this week. $245 base price and you're into a 380 for under $300. I make my own Kydex holsters so fitting a holster for myself is easy.
There are also Ruger LCP and KelTec 380s on the market with similar stats. I like the Taurus because the slide stays open when the mag is empty. The trigger pull like all the other 380s is long but the Taurus is much smoother. They can also be had in .32 ACP.
Thats a nice pistol Prime. The only .380's I can think of I trust more than a Taurus is the Sig P238. Those are nice 380's if you've never had the pleasure of shooting one. Its like shooting a mini 1911. Awesome pistol, just a little on the expensive side.
Bought and sold a Sig P230 (West German Made) like the one in the top pic this past spring. It shot very very nice. I did a re-blue on it because it was so holster worn. The guy who bought it was looking for a PPK but even used prices on PPKs are pretty high. He recently told me that the 230 was the first gun he picked up and was able to 10 ring from 25 yards with no prior practice. He's big like a bear so he is going to conceal carry this one. Sig makes good guns that hold their price. FYI, Bersa makes a decent rendition of this gun in their .380 Thunder series. Bersa added the slide safety and the mag release up higher. I like Bersa for a Sub $400 pistol. I bought the Sig for $205 and sold it for a sweet $350. The pistol on the bottom is another knock off of the P230. It is the CZ50. They can be had for anywhere from $150 to $250 from the right dealer. .32acp and .380acp. Where the Sig incorporates only a hammer decocking lever the CZ lever is a decocker and safety. They are also quite accurate.
A little lecturing here for those reading who haven't posted. As a cop since 1990, yes before some of our members were born, I know for a fact that we can't be everywhere to protect everyone. The US courts have also recognized this fact. I absolutely believe that the individual has an absolute right to defend themselves and their loved ones from serious bodily injury and death. I don't care if you're a penthouse papa who can afford to pay someone to protect you or a pauper in the projects who doesn't have a pot to piss in. I believe you have the absolute right to protect yourself. For those who don't have the cash to buy new state of the art tools for your defense there are guns on the market that use the same systems at budget prices. The CZ pistols served and still serve Euro military and police as sidearms. There are plenty on the market in a wide variety of calibers at surplus prices. There are Makarovs on the market that are the exact same design. Some made on the same assembly lines. These weapons are inexpensive and serve a purpose. Save your cash and find the right one to protect yourself. Follow the laws of your state. Learn how to shoot and how to be safe. Don't be a douchebag gangsta wanna be. Tupac and Fatty are dead for a reason.
Logic. You can't talk sense to a zombie.
