worst weapon?  Lack of wits lol...  also any weapon you have no experience with...  

 

Fire i agree with initial posters back in 2008 lol VERY VERY BAD!  Chainsaw apart from splatter the noise will alert every zed within a mile that you're there...

Fire isn't as bad of a weapon as you might think, although I wouldnt want to use fire for the simple fact that it will take longer to take one down that a bullet. Fire will burn off muscle and connective tissue effectively making the zombie a burning motionless corpse. However, while the are still living they can walk into lots of things and set them on fire aswell including buildings, or if your in the woods...well the woods lol. that would suck.

i think that any weapon that you have to get in 4 ft or less is a bad weapon. guns are ok but noise attracts them.

Chain saws are horrible. wiffle bats? duh. wood boards will work for a while....Hammers are crap, as are kitchen knives, serrated small blades, and anything aluminium. Fire sucks, unless you have an escape plan and are facing a hoarde of zed heads. shot guns suck, unless you use slugs, but then why no just use a rifle? a .22 cal will work just as well, if not do more damage because it will ricochet in the brain case and do as much damage as any slug or high calibre rifle.

Have you ever seen what buck shot can do to anything? It' called buckshot for a reason. It kills deer at close  to moderate distances. We qual with buckshot outto 50 yards. It can kill a human out to at east 50 yards. Yes the spread at that distance is pretty big but you can easily get a head shot. I'd take the #9 buckshot out of a Mossberg over a 22 lr any day. Now if you want to talk about the 55 grain 22 caliber that comes out of a .223 or 5.56x45 then we can talk.

I agree the shotgun is a very good choice, however I disagree on a few points.

1. I would prefer the #5 buckshot at closer ranges.

2. A 500 series Mossberg is going to be heavier than say your standard Ruger 10/22.

3. You would be able to carry alot more .22lr ammo than 12ga.

4. A shotgun will be louder.

 

Now having said all that, truth is I would want both. My choice of mossberg would be the 590-A1. Due to max ammo capacity & bayonet lug just in case.
