So I was kind of wondering, at what point do you decide ok this really is a zombie breakout; and facing that reality when do you turn against your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, kids, friends, family. I mean they turn pale do you shoot? They have a big scab on their leg, they moan a lot. Do you wait until they are trying to kill you before you act? Do you try to abandon them and hope that you never see them again?  I ask this cause I've always been the person that was like, "If they stand between me and survival then I'll crush their skulls in!" but thinking about it it's more complicated than that. Also the paleness, scab and  moaning could be explained due to the circumstanc at hand like seeing the living dead, running and falling while escaping the living dead and possibly not that they have been infected.

I keep the wife chained up in the basement. Mmmhuh.
am i the only one here who thinks of the Bathroom?
Your number one for deciding to go number two near your undead loved ones :D
i'm ballah like that, but i didn't say i would use the shower...
Well if you say 'hey hun are you a zombie?' and they say 'mmgrarrraaaooooobrrainsss' then I think that would be the definate signal to bash their brains in.
I say, why wait to find out if there are infected or not?
i already have 14+ plans and situations where i wont be around or appearing dead when the whole thing starts....
If a significant other of mine would start showing symptoms, and our location was "safe" i would have asked them to tie them up and down every night and waking moment they felt weak or severely ill.
If they do turn it dont matter, its not them anymore, how can it be when they want to chew on you
but until they turn you never may know if they might be the 1% that ends up a carrier.

Now here is a question what would be worse, to have your significant die of the Zombiefication or end up a carrier knowing you could never kiss or exchange any form of intimate contact again on the level of fluid exchange without risking infecting yourself?

Anyways i`m saying let them live until they die but under controlled circumstances, could leave them in a cellar until someday possibly you could revive them/ heal the Zombie illness.
Don`t forget they were once "human" Would`n you have regretted offing a significant, only to a few years later or perhaps 10 years later discover a reversal cure and cure for the illness?
( think of it like this a paralyzed neck down man kills himself, lost his view in life, but a few years later a treatment that would have cured him hits the marked) Don`t you think that fella would be turning in his grave?
I like the idea of tying them up, cause if they don't turn then ok cool.  Ok I'm gonna nit-pick: 1st if ur paralyized from the neck down it's gonna be real hard to shoot urself.  2nd a better comparison would have been like AIDS or progressive degenerative like HD. 3rd I dont think that There would be a cure for anyone but the people who are infected and have yet to turn/die because of all the tissue damage from rotting. 4th I guess I mean like without vocalizing to the suspect (which is stupid).
**I didn't say it would be impossible to shoot yourself. I know there are different classifications of paralysis**
Yeah was thinking about using aids as an example but went for the Psychological example instead
And note i didn't say shoot himself, i said kill himself, which is any means possible, medicine, hanging, weapons or assisted.
And to add in most cases of Zombie lore hints towards regenerative abilities, hence the reanimation or " living dead" due to lack of certain higher brain functions, it wouldn't necessarily mean they would be rotting corpses, imo they would still attain a ability to heal themselves, altho very slow and it would not be regular skin at the wounded area, more like a mutated area of the infectious disease itself.. A theory of mine.
That is one hell of a question! I suppose I'd turn on a loved one once his/her infection becomes a definite reality. If I had to kill one of my loved ones, I'd make sure that he/she would never see it coming.
