When do you turn on your loved ones?

So I was kind of wondering, at what point do you decide ok this really is a zombie breakout; and facing that reality when do you turn against your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, kids, friends, family. I mean they turn pale do you shoot? They have a big scab on their leg, they moan a lot. Do you wait until they are trying to kill you before you act? Do you try to abandon them and hope that you never see them again?  I ask this cause I've always been the person that was like, "If they stand between me and survival then I'll crush their skulls in!" but thinking about it it's more complicated than that. Also the paleness, scab and  moaning could be explained due to the circumstanc at hand like seeing the living dead, running and falling while escaping the living dead and possibly not that they have been infected.

Well, unless they're like a runner or something, wouldn't you notice the "passing" part of passing and turning? If they do just go straight from person to zombie without getting bitten or something, I'd probably wait till I was completely sure they were a zombie, AKA trying to bite my face off.

I don't see it as turning on anyone. Death is the natural progession. Ending their suffering before they can harm anyone else is being responsible. When, If we're on the move and there is a bunch of zeds on our ass, immediately. If in a stronghold and there are no emergencies I think I'd let everyone say their goodbyes and then get it done.

So this is dark, depressing and morbid.  Lol I've decided that I would just cross that bridge when I came to it and hope that that never happened.

It depends on the way the virus spreads. If they have to die first, keep them around and make them be useful till they croak, and then blast 'em before they come back. If its a 28 days later spray n go style of infection, well then that makes things much more clear-cut.
