I think telling them what you can offer at that immediate moment would get you into the police department faster than promising babes after the crisis which might never end. Sort of like how paper money might not buy you something in a z-poc but trading 100 rounds of ammunition still has value.

Tell them the truth: you are/were a Royal Canadian Army soldier and have combat experience. Even better if you show up with your own firearm. They'd be more likely to let you into their station knowing that rather than promising Kendra Wilkinson.
...i would open MY arms to Kendra Wilkinson...
away from you...
Go home, barricade the front and back door, load up my guns and supplies, and just wait to see where things go from there.
wal-mart. turn off the doors and barricade it with stuff. then get guns and food and hold out there for as long as possible.
And the military will let you in? Hardly. You don't have the security clearence and you aren't a major contributor. Wow, you rely on other people a lot. Try again..
I'll tell ya what Prime Im getting sick and tired of these kids thinking that when the SHTF that everything is going to fall in their laps, seriously!
Kid that's how its going to be Everywhere!! People have got their own families and problems to worry about, Im pretty sure most people aren't going to stop to help random strangers off the streets episially if there is nothing in it for them or their famlies. Stop living in your fantasy world where you think everyone is kind and nice Wake Up kid!!
Yeah!
Brennan, pick up a book or ask someone to teach you how to cook or hunt or trap. Then you can be the one being kind and not demanding kindness.
If you can do this then why rely on someone else's charity?
Apparently it is what some of today's youths are being taught therefore expect. It is trully sad.
