What type of zombie would you rather want to fight up against if an apocalypse happened. Runners or the slow walking ones?

the horrid slack jawed horde shambles, i'd have to say most deff. scarier than runners. Maybe something about the lifeless slouch, or their rigid rotten movements, or dark soul less pit's called eyes.
But i think the worst is the moans, gotta have them earplugs to keep yourself off the edge of insanity.
Romera has said multiple times that dead things move slow. He tried to fill in a few blanks with Diary of the dead. He also is talking about zombie animals and how they might be. He was going to do that in Diary with some zombie rats but I think that became a budget factor.

If you are talking about survival the slower ones I think are more survivable. Yes they arrive in hordes but you have more time to work out a plan if you need to. The runners for DotD '04 finally showed up in large number too. But those never really made since to me. Sure while still fresh the zeds might still be able to move fast but over time they would almost have to slow down.
And one of the things that make Romero awesome is social criticisim that he puts on his zombies, the contagious stupidity! with runners is only gore! I'm not saying I hate runners, actually I love them! but slow ones are classics!
runners,, only because the thrill of the hunt!!!
if you ask me its not one or the other is has to be a mix that way you never now if you have to run or just side step away from them besides that the only thing i could really fear is smart zombies with guns and what ever eles they pick up cuz if thats the case were all dead
Are we talking a video game or If this actually happened? if this type of thing would actually happen I'd want the zombies as slow and stupid as possible. Your survival depends on it. Fun is sitting in front of a TV or computer and blowing shit up with a thumb pad. Fighting for your life is not fun. Believe me in your documentary the slow ones are the ones that get ya when you don't expect it. And there are millions of them.
Finally someone with some common sense :P
Agreed.
I think it would depend on the rate of the spread. If this thing kicked off in the states, and had a slow steady spread, I actually think it would be controlled before it got out of hand. But like in the LZ storyboards, you're looking at a virus that slowly infects and mutates before it turns, so millions turn before you even know what's going on...
I'd go with the slower ones.
i would so the slow walking one becaouse the fact that there alotslower then you automaticly makes your job just a littel bit eseyer. if you cornerd with about 25 zombies closing in on you from about 25 to 30 yards away you have time to take as many of them down as youcan and posibly all of them if you are traind with the wepon you are using.
Hm. I'm feeling like Dawn of the Dead has it the best. Slow when they are just around or in your vicinity but fast when they have a visual of you. I couldn't deal with straight fast ones like 28 days later. that's just crazy. but Dawn of the Dead has it right. Just my .02 on the subject. -Jooz Boxx
