Being a father of a two-year-old boy, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would save him over ANYBODY ELSE, including myself. Of course I would miss my wife horribly and it would drive me crazy, but I wouldn't be able to handle it if I didn't save my son. Hands down, I would save my child.
My kids are grown ups @ 24 and 25 and are 2000 miles away. They'd have to be prepared on their own (which they have the basics down so far on what to do and how to get out of the Manhattan area) There is no way I could save them other than giving them the tools they need to understand the situation - they have those tools, hopefully they will use them.
That being said, I'd save my husband because I'd be able to.
I'll just have to pray for the best for my kids, but to be honest, if an epoc or zpoc happened, I think they are kind of screwed unless they can make it to the ranch.
