Why do you like zombies? Why do you think that people are so facinated by zombies? What was it that made you interested in them??? What would be your reaction if you woke up tomorrow only to find that a zombie outbreak has actually occurred? I'm thinking of writing a story so these are some of the questions that I want to ask everyone here at Lost Zombies to help me make this story as good as possible.

Wow. Fascinated with them? I don't believe I am. I am more of a prepper. A Zpoc is what I see as the ultimate disaster.

My reaction. Initially I'd check in with my family, then work. My personal reaction as in how I feel? My first thought would probably be "Someone fucked up and let it out! I hope I'm prepared enough to help my people get by."

There are a number of stories on the site. You can get a good look by reading other's.

Thank you for replying. I've noticed other stories and they're all great, but I wanted to get some information on what people feel before I get to writing mine. Many times when people write they go strictly on what they feel on the subject, and I want multiple, more specific opinions.
I believe that anyone running on emotion and not some common sense and logic will shortly be dead.
Thank you for replying. I agree that zombies would be a different situation, but not necessarily easier. During war, the main objective for each side is to try to destroy the morale of the opposition. This is done by blocking transportation of supplies from food to weaponry. This is also done by using psychological warfare. During operation Desert Storm the United States Marines blasted "AC/DC" music to demoralize the enemy, and it worked. What would make the zombies more difficult would be that they are a nearly unstoppable force. They live to feed. They do not need to be resupplied like the military, you can't block their food source easily. They have an infinite morale, or it can be look at as though they have no morale that can be destroyed. They also cannot be swayed by psychological means. They would be a completely new type of enemy. The worse part of this is that as the war wages, the human count can only get smaller. Every zombie that is killed just becomes a corpse, no use to the human species; however, every human that is killed becomes a zombie. This means that the amount of zombies can only grow. Of course, if more zombies were to be killed that humans, then the numbers would eventually dwindle.
i have asked myself these same questions more then once. now like P.P I fancy my self a prepped and do see the Zpoc as the ultimate disaster. unlike P.P how ever i am completely obsessed with the living dead. it stared for me the way i think i did for most of it, with the original black and white night of the living dead. truth is i don't know why i'm so draw to the undead. maybe its the fact there the only truly scary. after all there the only monster that you don't have to seek out. you can jsut be sitting in your living room then hear the moan and a zombie breaks through your front door. maybe its the idea that their somehow us and somehow not us so its okay to kill them in a number of inventive and truly gory ways. yes im not ashamed to say im a little sick in the head that way. of maybe its the fact they blend so perfectly into the apocalyptic genera. in fact it was zombie that got me think and preparing for disasters. i owe allot to the undead, and if i woke up to a zombie Apocalypse my only thought would be, "damn i wish i owned a gun. then again supposedly my dad has a shot gun hiden somewhere in the house, I've yet to find it despite massive searching. of course even if he tells me where the gun is i have no shells for it, ahh life's funny. hope this helps = D
Thank you for replying. I feel that what makes zombies truely terrifying is that they are more like humans than any other creature out there. While aliens and monsters may be frightening to some, the zombie itself would be more frightening. Just the sheer thought of, "Is the person next to me one of them?" would drive some insane. While monsters and aliens would be more easily identifiable, zombies would not. They seem more like a sick person than anything. It's more of a psychological effect than anything. Zombies are able to pull the fear out of almost anyone, because it would be something completely impossible, yet still somehow possible.
i agree on all points.

because you cant make a ridiculous emo tween love story with them, they are out there for one thing and that is to eat *or dance if you Michael Jackson* and you cant reason, order, or barter with them to do anything else...unless your a B-movie....and couple that a zombie isn't in the category of the scary monsters but a plague, one that spreads easily without even the thought of selection, it doesn't care about race, sex, if your pro or against guns, what political party your on, what your favorite flavor of mountain dew is, or what religion you are...it just wants you......

and i would love to get the ultimate psychology question answered...can I actually handle a body dying then coming back to kill me... actually it really is a psychology question they ask you when you bring up zombies...

and its the best reason to get out there and go on a road trip.....

Very nice.
Thank you for replying. :)
Personally, because there is nothing more horrifying than the thought of one humn being eating another alive. Period. If the person eating is enjoying it...(x10).
Thank you for replying.
