Simple question; when the zombies storm your town in huge numbers, will you hold your ground, or run?

I'll stay. I'll fight to my last breath to keep my family safe; nothing will break me.
I would be lying if I said I wouldn't dare attempt to hold ground for my family... but in a situation such as a Zpoc (specially the volume of zeds that we all anticipate) I would have to mentally torment myself into allowing my emotions to let go. If anyone in my family is capable of survival, along myself, then we will meet up later... otherwise it would be obvious that the members who did not survive could have been potential issues in my personal safety and survival. I hope you would value you own life just as much as theirs... otherwise you would be giving yourself to them rather than sticking it out for them. Its better to let one die than you both.

If you're capable of survival, VALUE THAT!
That is actually good advice; seriosly.
Hrm. good question. Personaly i'd stand and fight until my death. but tacticaly its not a bright idea. create a safe house, stand off, and gather goods. when you have enough good to evac, i would recmomed it. gather up all food/gas/clothings/ammo/guns/ciggs lol. then make your move, keep on the move. not one place will for fortified forever.
If I were where I am right now, which is my basement suite... I'd have to hold my ground for as long as possible and then run. Running right away would be my best bet but it would really depend on how I found out about the ZPOC. If I were confronted with a zed, that being how I found out, I'd hold my ground, but if I heard about it, I'd tactically meet up with my Apoc team and move towards a less populated area. My BFF has a hippie van that would be our best means of transportation.

Holding my ground in Vancouver would be pretty pointless. We are so over populated with city people here; everyone would become zeds cause no one would act on the situation. They are mostly the type of people who stand, stare, scream and suffer... then turn into zeds who inevitably obtain a million times the instinctive survival skills of natural vancouverites.

Personal best bet; meet with Apoc Team and destroy all on our way towards the rockies and then north.

(I'd attempt to reach and save or help family... Zpoc will result in every man for themselves tho. Cats will fend for themselves, same with all that aren't capable of pulling their own weight.)
I'd do both personally. Run with my family at the start and run when things start getting fucked up.
We'd all do what we can. a mixture of fighting and running. being hero's and being cowards. thruth is we dont fully know how'd we react. you know? we might react slower then expected...or not being able to kill a loved one who was just recently infected. who knows!
As for populated areas...very very bad areas. but the woodland areas are even worse in my opinion. you never know where the hoard is roaming or waiting.
Run like hell, fight my way out. I don't trust my town to save my ass
For me, I plan on mixing it up depending on situation. If it's not as bad, stay; but if it IS that bad, then I choose life.
Get my family and closest friends to the evac point that turn back and go help try to save all man kind by killing evey zombie in mine and my apoc squad Idc if the zomb is a reletive or famous person, once infected it's to late and there must be no attempt to capture and atempt to save said infected.
I'll stay. Get my family to the second floor, everyone loaded with supplies, myself included. Drop the food, let them fill all the buckets with water. And if the zombies are still far enough, I will take a couple of more runs to get a lot of supplies while I still can. When they come to close it's time to demolish the stairs. The cat will be safe like my family aswell. Once the stairs are gone then I will get my sniper rifle and climb on the roof. Shooting those bastards in the head.
So I would hold my ground. I am glad that I live in a small town. 7000 people max.
what type of rifle you got?
