If A Baby Were To Get Bitten, Would They Turn? I Mean According To Dawn Of The Dead, The Pregnant Woman Gets Bit And The Baby Is Born Undead. First Off If A Baby Is Bitten Wouldn't It Most Likely Be Completely Devoured? And Even If It Did Turn, Would It Even Be A Threat? I Mean If It Couldn't Crawl Or Walk, Couldn't You Just Lock It In A Closet Or Even Just Leave It Where You Find It? Or If The Virus Even Works Like The Flood On Halo. The Infant Would Be Too Small To Support The Virus And Just Die (Like A Grunt Or Jackal). Find Your Opinions And Bring Them To Me.

I agree with Hunk. It depends on the size of the infant. It they haven't any teeth to bite, then that's one threat down. But even a baby is capable of scratching. It's a big misconception that they aren't. If you depend on cinema for examples, then there is a scene from one of the omen movies where the baby scratches her face and it get's infected. So that is a possible threat, possible but not probable. Then there is alerting the mass of adult sized zombies (highly threatening), that would be the most dangerous threat a zombie infant would be to us. So yet again, if it's a zombie regardless of size, age, or level of threat destroy it and in so doing, you also destroy whatever threat it holds.
I dont know, but the smaller the zombie the creepier.
I wonder if some survivor bands will be dumb enough to use these "harmless" baby zeds as cuddly dolls for their kids.
Proof zombie babies are tough lil sob's-

LOL i hated the baby zombie in that movie!! so damn annoying but HILARIOUS
Well, the baby shouldn't have teeth or nails yet so you don't really have to worry about infection. That also means that the bones aren't developped yet so its only movements would be similar to Magikarp's Splash attack.

Zombie baby defense? Dead baby jokes. What are they gonna do, teeth you to death?
I actually had a very similar conversation about this when I first joined the site many moons ago so to revisit it is a bit of nostalgia for me...that said...game on.

I think it likely that a baby could be turned from a bite but that there would have to be certain underlying conditions for the virus to effectively turn them.

Tissue Damage: First off, it would be relative to the amount of tissue damage. Remember that it is the brain that is the most important organ in this scenario so as long as the virus makes it that far, the baby can be turned. However, as we all know, baby bones are not hard and supportive like an adults...the head would likely be the largest target and therefore infection would occur directly to the brain tissue, right before the brain got devoured...kind of a catch 22 if you ask me.

Threat: It might not be a threat in the sense that it can bite you, especially a newborn, but have you seen a newborn? Somebody has a cut on their hand, picks up what they think is a baby, baby drools all over them...infection! I am being a bit comical about it, but it is my belief that any fluid to fluid contact is a bad thing...especially if one of those fluids comes from a zombie.

I also think that it is rather likely that a young baby's tissue would rot faster than an adults limiting whatever possible threat they might pose. Babies are much more susceptible to soft tissue damage than adults since their self repair systems are not completely functional. (Sorry, I went into nerd mode and got all Star Trekky because I am tired and couldn't remember the phrase I wished to use.) As far as tossing them in closets, I must say...I would consider it bane to my existence and destroy it...

As for the flood...well...I beat Halo...on Heroic...cheers for me?
