Your epic apocalypse outfit.

Seriously guys, protection and zombieproof gear is for pansies. The only thing that's going to keep you safe is looking as sharp as possible. How will you dress to kill during zpoc? Nearly every zombie film has some badass in a slick costume at some point or other. I don't want to hear about your fancy 'chainmail' or 'flak jacket' rubbish, will you go for the ninja style? Biker? Will you go for the mysterious cloaked stranger effect or the obvious warrior? Get inventive here.

Edit: C'mon lads, you're doing it wrong. You're being, dare i say, practical..? I want interesting, not sensible.

Assuming I happen to be in AK at the time... Black Russian Fur Hat -check (I also have an olive green/brown fur one). Black Polarized Sunglasses -check. Black NorthFace Sweater -check. Insulated Cargo Pants -check. Double Socks -check. LRG Gray Sheepskin 3/4 Length Coat -check (I used it when visiting Anchorage, AK, a few years ago--warm, even in -48F.) Steel Toe Timberlands -check. Black Fitted Thinsulate Gloves -check. Goalie Mask -check. Machete -check. AK-47 -check. A sh*tload lf Frags/Grenades -check. My fav grunge songs on my MP3 Player -check. 2 Lbs. of Blue Berry -check. A flask of Blackberry Brandy -check. A Small Nuke with deadman switch -check. ;P

Lmao! What a fun discussion! Unfortunately I don't really have an answer to this at the moment. I'm still trying to figure out my bad-ass epic apocalypse outfit. I need to start collecting some clothes and gear and work on putting it together. Although, I would like to combine both epic AND practical if possible. Haha.

How bout this... (its what i would wear) A white T-shirt with a tactical vest over it. Jeans, elbow and knee pads. A gas mask combat boots and an ammo belt. Two pistol holsters (one on each side). I would use for more mobility that defense and most likely be on a rooftop with a sniper rifle so it wont work for everyone...

ok... well my gear if all goes well is army epquipment not very cool looking but i guess if i need to look cool ill dress all in black hunting clothes no protection but camo in the night a m40 gas mask in black and a ak not the best looking but the best i can come up with combat faigues for pants and some boots oh and a neckless made of the skulls from zeds

redo: black trilby, gas mask with smile painted on, grey long sleeved shirt, dark grey trenchcoat buttoned up 80%, white formal gloves, black trousers, multi grip on belt (with any other suitably evil looking tool) black boots.

this should mean that you don't see my face, or indeed any of my skin, only a cold mask with survivor scaring smile (plus I wouldn't be able to bite if I got infected)

Ugh! How can I have forgotten? I'll NEED shoulder pads, knee pads, and shin guard a-la Road Warrior (because you KNOW they're going to be hitting you on your clavicle with a 2X4 --and that's just for starters.) LOL.
